Default Looks like I won't be playing much DDO for a couple of weeks.

Because I will be experimenting with monks on Risia!

The Risia Preview Server will be brought down on Wednesday, May 21st from 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) to update it to the current version of Module 7: The Way of the Monk. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience!

I was curious why people play on risia. Is it just so they can preview the content? Not being sarcastic honestly I was curious. Do they let you transfer a character you level up back to your home server? If not why bother again just an honest question.

I use it to check out the new content, plus I also use it to try out different built types to see how they work.

Default All those things I'd like to figure out BEFORE I start my PC on my main server

I can do on Risa. If I want to delete and redo something or make another PC for comparason, no problem!

By the time it REALLY shows up on the live servers, I'll know how I want to have the build set, and what path I like most so far.

Why am I typing here...I need my Monk-y!

The great thing about people previewing on risia is:

    - you get an early look at content and can report back to fellow players
    - you can find and point out obvious bugs and oversights that may have made it through to this stage

so even if you just do it to say .... "I did it 1st" its still a big service to the community.

I like the people that troll the quests, figure them out, and report back on the loot. I love loot!

Default Well I hope you all like outfits

because that's how we work around wearing "robes" all the time. Any race can wear them save warforged of course.

The biggest definately sure we have a bug is duplication in the treasure pulls listing. Your choices in the chest and end rewards sometimes show twice. Choosing one makes the other's title go away, but a ghost image remains until you exit the chest. You also may see ghost images of other teamate's rewards.

As for Three Barel Cove, you'll just have to see it yourself!

I haven't found the so-called new low level monk missions yet, but I'm sure that will be found very soon. Yeah, I had to do the island and Sully's Grog like the rest of 'em. Was hoping we monks could have a mission that also was a tutorial, because you WILL be confused at first how Ki, monk enhancement paths and Ki finishing moves work at first. Besides the four elements, there also seems to be the void (force), positive and negative energies as well. Using them in combinations or one consecutively three times makes a finishing move.

The trick is how you get Ki and kep it before it goes away or you spend it before the big move. That will be for you to experiment on personally.

Having fun, wish you were here!
