Default Bought this game on pre-order many moons ago.

My question is, is it a good idea to come back? When I first started playing it, I saw tremendous potential in this game. The combat system was fun and the gameplay was great. There just wasn't enough to DO. The quests were basically the same and there was many many runs through the same dungeon over and over and over. From what I've been reading there has been a number of changes to the game (including crafting???) and what I'd like to know is how much has Turbine fleshed out the game? Has options and things to do been improved? Basically... is it worth restarting my account and coming back to this game?

    Cheers,

the leveling experience is different now, there are more things to do at lower levels including outdoor adventure areas which can be soloed fairly easily. Mod 6 introduced crafting to the newest raid at lvl 16, but mod 7 coming in May will expand that to all players and levels. Th enhancement system was redone, and the total amount of content is twice what it was when it went live.

    There are

5 adventure areas from lvls 1-10
4 adventure areas from lvl 11-16

most quests up to lvl 6 have a solo option which now gives 80% of the xp that normal gives

    Default it all depends....

...on the answers to the following IMO:

    1) Are you a PnP strictness geek-if the answer is:
a)yes-then no...run an ad in the paper and invite others like yourself over....better you weren't on the streets...its a dangerous world
b)no- so far so good....go to next question.

    2) Are you the type to power level then bore quickly waiting for new content- if the answer is:
a)Yes-then no...your living the game life to quickly, desiring everything, savoring nothing....probably a reflection of real life issues that will only worsen as the game prgresses...play donkey kong....its better for ya.
    b)no-again..looking better...please proceed

    3) Are you able to seperate real life from the lore ascribed to via DDO-if he answer is:
a)DDO is based on my real life-congrats...your meds have wore off and the nurse should be along momentarily with a booster shot...however they limit surf time..making going adventuring with your friends difficult to schedule...so no, don't re-up
    b) yes I am married therefore I know real world vs. where I want to be and DDO is the perfect place to chase a cute elf...then yes, re-up....escape is good.

But seriously.....if ya like chillin and escape....which is what I play for...then its worth it....if you zerg everything just so ya can gwt capped quick then complain as ya wait for new stuff cause you got all the loot and garbage ya want then...nah...play madden football.

Thanks guys =) I'm definitely NOT a power gamer. I play with my wife when we do MMO's (We've spent years in WoW) but we like to take things fairly casual as we have an 18 month old son and another on the way. From the sounds of it they've done some good work opening up the gme world.

I AM a PnP geek (in fact I'm going right now to play with some friends) but I've never been on to mistake games for hardcore pnp. In fact I like the way that they adapt them for games (such as this one, NWN, Icewind Dale, etc.). Thanks for the honest answers. Now my next question is this.

What's happened with the server mergers? What server is best for someone from PST timezone? Any server with a fair amount of Canadian players?

    Cheers,

Join Argonnessen. Look up the Bloodlords guild. We have more Canadiens than I care to admit

We got quite a few Canadians on Thelanis and in The Exploration Society. Some even speak French (though most are PST...)

The game itself has A LOT more to offer than at launch. I don't think you'll get bored quickly.

    Don't bank on crafting yet.
What crafting there is, is basically high level raid loot crafting.
