    Default Request: Ftr-9/Paly-3/Rg-2 Starter Build

    By starter build I mean 28pt build with no tomes or +6 items. I am thinking of using falchions so a two hander slasing build. would like halfling if possible for the dragon marks of healing but human and dwarf and possible drow are also possible options.

    If you want a 2 handed fighter build i recommend taking 2handed fighting, improved 2hnded fighting, greater 2hnded fighting, improved crit slash (for falchions), and power attack. Other feats are up to you, maybe cleave, maybe stunning blow, maybe toughness etc.

    max your str..every point you get into str, get as decently high of a con as you can while still being able to attain a 20dex (20 dex maxes the dex bonus on a mithral breastplate)...which is the lowest dex bonus possible on any light armor. You need to wear light armor in order to have a chance at evading. You said no 6 stat items...im going to assume you can attain a 5 dex item and u can take rogue 1 dex enhancment...meaning you need to start at 14dex at least (possibly less depending on race). Balance any other points into chr to increase your saves from your pally lvls..you can maybe skimp a bit on con if you take the toughness feat and the fighter/dwarf toughness enhancments...or dwarf con enhancments if u go that way. Would allow for more points into chr..but then dwarves get a -2 chr anyway so its kind of a toss up. Human would allow you to get 1 each of 2 of str/con/dex/chr enhancments. dex for halflings and elves would let you start with a lower base dex.

    By no tomes and no +6 I just ment that I dont have any right now. I plan on "hopefully" aquiring them along the way. Thanks for the info Philo

    Ex. with a halfling:
    str 16
    dex 10
    con 12
    int 8
    wis 10
    cha 14

    Variations could be drop wis to 8 and up con to 14 or dex to 12.
    The above poster worries about AC, but if you're going 2H you're unlikely to ever get a good AC at high level (unless you enjoy using tons of shield clickies).

    ahhh yes a batman

    while yes you could waist feats on the dragon mark why would you with paladin you can self heal with wands.
    8/3/3 fight/paladin/rogue the two handed halfling would be quite pointless due to the str modifire (something like that) wouldnt be as high as if you went with human/wf/dwarf which would be the best for a two handed fighter.
    base stats of a dual wielding halfling with decent saves:
    16
    18
    10
    8
    8
    12
    with this you'll be able to have a wide variety of skills mostly umd though
    also with this you'll have decents saves (with right stuff you can get in the 20's for each)
    feats:
    Two weapon fighting
    imp two weapon fighting
    toughness x2
    khopesh prof
    imp crit piercing
    imp crit slashing
    dodge
    mobility
    spring attack
    you should have in the 200's for health

    Threw in a +1 Dex Tome (used by lvl 12) in order to get the Dodge Feat at lvl 13, this also gives you a Dex of 16 (including enhancements). This also means if you get a +6 Dex item and the Kundarak Delving Suit you will perfectly fill in the Dex bonus. Or, if you don't get the tome/+6 Dex item/Delving Suit - then just use a +5 item and you'll have a 20 Dex & you'll fill in the bonus on Mithral Breastplate.
