    Default best 4some ?

Hey everybody ! a few of us are taking a LOTRO break and are back in DDO for a bit and we were just wondering what class combos make the best 4some? should we go pure or multiclass? fleshy or WF? we've activated our old accounts but dont really feel like playing our old mains (they dont have much plat on them to twink anyways) Some veteran opinions would be greatly appreciated!

    4 WF arcanes.

Wizard is my preference, max out hide, move silently, spot, jump and concentration, and you should have a skill point or two left over.

Or 4 dwarven battle clerics...if you're into short, fat, hairy and dirty. Mmmmm....

    Default 4 man group

While Ghoste's idea gives you maximum self sufficiently there are 4 of you, so you may want more of a team oriented unit (as well as not having identical characters - a little boring IMO).

    Idea 1:
    Basic group
1 cleric (would suggest thinking about a battlecleric for added DPS)
1 frontline melee (barb (maybe not the best idea for -2 AC while raging), fighter, paladin or even ranger depending on the build)
1 arcane (sorc or wiz... I think Wizard would be best for your group for spell diversity)
and then 1 utility character (ranger/bard/rogue or another of the above three - A rogue/ranger or bard/rogue would be nice to give you diversity and rogue skills... in fact the bard/rogue could fit rather nicely to back up heal for the battlecleric, buff your team up freeing up the arcane for CC, and using their own CC as well as bringing rogue skills to your party)

    Idea 2:
    WF group
1-2 arcane (Wiz is probably best for repair spells and so you dont take -2 cha to your sorc)
1-2 frontline melee (since your arcane is your healer a cleric can be here much more readily)
    1-2 utility character
Proud Officer of Tinted Faces on Argonnessen!
    Connner - 14 Fighter/1 Barb Konnnor - 15 Cleric Connnor - 15 Sorc Conor - 12 paly/4 fighter

32 pt builds and an additional character slot are acquired by reaching 1750 total favor, followed by speaking to the favor rep in the harbor next to the guy whom you speak to when unlocking drow characters.

32 pt builds are especially nice for fighting builds, but almost irrelevant (IMO) for casters.

Cleric with high strength (so he can fight as well as heal)
Melee (Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger - feel free to multi-class here)
    Wizard or Sorc
    Bard/Rogue

My original group of three (we've done nearly every quest in the game for the first time with just the three of us) was

    Barbarian
    Cleric
    Bard/Rogue

Man, we could have used a wizard

Bard/Rogue is an awesome utility character... Heals, Fascinates, Charms, and handles all traps/locks (get a decent int for lots of skills and a decent charisma so your spells land) - 16 in both if possible...
