Get Rid of Plat Spammers.

They send me Tells, i have NO idea who THEY are, i just know that THEY spam me whenever i raid, whenever im banking, whenever im doing stuff afk.....


They send me Mail, which i have to delete, mail when im doing auction shopping, mail when im waiting on buddies loot to come through, mail every time i log in, mail every time i dont log in but think about logging in....

TURBINE: do 1 of the following things, to make people happy.

1) Characters lvl 7 and below, cannot mail, cannot send tells to people over level 7! Also do this for mail.

2) Trial Accounts cannot post mail, cannot send tells to characters lvl 8 or above.

I agree that something must be done about the Plat Spammers, but I think that your solution would inconvenience many of us who frequently mail items and cash between our own toons levels 1-14. I would suggest that Turbine limit the number recipients of mail to 1. I doubt that PlatSpammers will take the time to spam thier junk mail if they have to do it to everyone individually.

I agree. No paying customer/player should be in any way limited in what they can do in game. But for Trial accounts, by all means disable outgoing mail.


P.S. chuck, they do send it out one at a time. There is no mass mail utility in DDO.

Trial Accounts-No mail, and no tell ability.

Bye Bye Plat Spammers. I logged on Yesterday and had 8 mails in my box from Midnight to 9am...All From Srdadfsgf

I got a double hit tell from the same seller...I replied with reported, reported the person...

5 minutes later, get the same tell...word for word from a different name...

1) We need a check box that lets us not recieve Mail, or PM's from Trial accounts. This way, two or three buddies could still sign up, use Trial Accounts to see if they like the game, send each other mail, etc. without letting the plat farmers use the system to harras the rest of us.

2) We need a check box that restricts mail to an account to three areas:
a) Any character from your own account
b) Any character from your guild
c) Any character on your friends list.


Apparently, Turbine just nuked 3000 plat farmer accounts, so they are out in force trying to show they will not be wiped out.

PMs are a bit different, as we need them in game, but those don't require any action from us other than reporting them, or ignoring them.
