Before the enhancement revamp, you could take both and they did both stack. The dev's were kind enough to prevent you from wasting AP on enhancements that no longer stack when the new system was introduced.

The first reply is correct though regarding racial enhancements. Racial stacks with class enhancements.

Bottomline is, the game prevents you from taking any two enhancements that won't stack with each other. So if you can take both, then they stack.

max is D armor III n F armor III which requires 24 dex, 28 if u use mith armor (fullplate). total enhancement points needed is 24. most pple just use armor I of 1 and armor II of another to save on sp and to get a decent dex ac bonus.

btw there is a belt in crucible which provides ftr armor mastery II
