Default Fighter Build Question (HELP Please)

    Hello,

I am a long time DnD player, and im trying to get my head around the builds in this game. With the enhancements and feats being different it is messing me up.

So I was using one of the TWF builds in the fighter forum, but a few things are not clear to me. If you could help that would be great.

    Elf Fighter

    Str: 18
    Dex: 16
    Con: 12
    Int: 8
    Wis: 8
    Cha: 8

I think this was the stats, then I was going to build like this:

1st lvl twf, weapon focuse slashing most likely
    2ndlvl choice
    3rd toughness
    4th weapon specialization slashing
    5th
6th improved twf iron will(since your will save will suck)
    7th
    8th improved critical slashing
    9th choice
    10th greater weapon focus slashing
    11th
12th greater twf, greater weapon specialization slashing.
    13th
    14th choice.

Or some thing close to that.

Now. I see Elves get +2 to Longswords, which is slashing, but I didnt see any light slashing weapons for the offhand.
So the slashing feat and the elf bonus would only apply to my main hand, leaving my off hand to miss a lot more.
Then I was playing around with one of the online builders, and it said the Elf Melee Attack enhancement was + to shortsword and rapier.

So, the question is, should I go Slashing for Longsword bonus with elf, or go Piercing for Shortsword and get the Elf Fighter enhancements.
    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks,

Kukri 18-20/x2, Handaxe 20/x3, and Sickle 20/x2. Kukri is your best bet.

Although, with both Elven Longsword to-hit enhancements, you can go with a Longsword in the left hand, too. It's a base -4/-4 penalty to both hands instead of +0/-2 for Longsword/Kukri, but becomes -2/-2 with the enhancements.

The chracter builder must be set to Drow not Elf because Drow get Rapier and short sword while regular Elves get Longsword and Rapier for the melee enhancements.

If you're a dex fighter, you might as well go ranger, get the enhancements for ... dex, and hit/dmg enhancements for drow.

Unless its some RP thing, then I suppose its up to you.
