Power Items Vs. Wiz Items

Can anyone explain to me the progression of these items so I may keep the most SP on my toon as possible? Also, does anyone know of a known drop for a Wiz III or IV item similar to the Crimson Gem that drops in WW or TR (Wiz II).

Specifically:

Wiz I then go to Power II
Power II then go to Wiz II etc... or something along those lines if one could find all these items of course

Power = 10 SP per level
Wizardry = 25 SP per level

• Dragoncrafted Robes - Robe, +4 Armor Bonus, Conjuration Focus, Wizardry III

Your best bet is to start with a power 1 or 2 item, then try to get venn's necklace in waterworks (WIZ 1, +25sp) for lvl 2.

After that, you can either try to get a power 3/4 item, or go for the WIZ 2 trinket from tangleroot at lvl 5.

Then its pretty barren until the dragon robes, however "of the magi" weapons are dropping like crazy, so you can probably find about 20 on the brokers at any point in time. Magi weapons are like power 10 or wizardry 4 as they give 100 sp to wizards.

After power 10/magi, there is only wizardry 5 and 6. Good luck getting those

Crystallized Widow's Eye (PoP X) is Minimum LV 11
PoP X is Minimum LV ???
of the Magi is Minimum LV ???

I'm trying to figure what items I can use to max my SP at 7-11.

Magi items are lvl 10. I am lvl 8 and am currently using a power VII dagger, with a plus 2 dagger of the magi in the bank for lvl 10. They normally go cheap...at least before the merger :P.

Magi robes can be level 8 if I remember correctly.

Pearl of Power X (100sp) is level 9 to use I believe. Its 9 or 10 because I had it since before the level cap raise from 10, but I can't log in to check for sure atm.

there are no Named WIZ6 OR 7 items both can happen though wiz7 has to be RR or +1 loot weekend only I belive and VERY VERY rare at that, Wiz6 is still rare as stink though more are buildign up as time goes on.

A magi robe is level 8 req. A +1 magi weapon is 8 req. Good luck finding a +1 magi weapon it will not be found. What will be found is a level 10 req +2 magi weapon. Magi is the same as PoP X therefore Dragon's Eye and Crystalized Eye give the same mana but Dragon's Eye is a level 9 req. Realisticaly a Magi item or one of the eyes is what your going to be using until you get out into Gianthold and get the Black Robe. Even then you might want the Blue not the black so.... My advice go for the Widow's Eye or the Dragon's Eye. They will be the best you will get as they are trinket slot leavign robe for either Blue Dragon or Fearsome and weapon for potency, spell penetration, and lore. Yes my caster has 3 arms :P I wish. Thats my 2 cp.

Don't forget to check the auctions. There are lots of clubs, daggers, light maces, staves of power __ . When you level up, go look for the next one up.

RR = race required, lowers minimum lvl requirement by 2.
