    Default 8 con

I currently have a lvl 9 paladin and i put in 8 consitution. So far this build has been working great because my lay on hands is like 112hp or something atm, and i have 268sp or something, and with toughness i have 140hp. This is my highest lvl toon, so ive never done any extremely high lvl quests. Is my paladin doomed to die constantly? Or is it no problem and i should just continue on with this build.

Its certainly not ideal... but you should be ok on hp if you play smart and find some good items

    020 heroic duribility
140 palidan levels (assuming ur pure?)
    028 con bonus (+6 item)
    016 toughness feat
    050 palidan toughness enhancements
    030 greater false life
    010 gianthold favor
294 not too shabby since you have great saves as a palidan, and your LoH...

And Slayer isnt even adding every buff available.

Nowadays Greater false life items are ten a penny, meaning you fidn them everywhere. Almost every quest you can guarantee you will get certain buffs, GH +11 temp hp's, aid +14(?), your own buffs +20...right there, with the GFL you have an extra 75hps, 30 of which are not temporary.

My pally started with 10, he took toughness once, and I think he has improved false life, maybe nothing, and he's at 298 hps without buffs.

One thing that you may want to try and get is a heavy fort item, belts are common, rings are rare...try and keep your belt slot open for one of those. Or you can get it on fullplate, but that lowers the plus on the plate to one, maybe two. In GH, and I assume the new quests, AC needs to be high 40's low 50's to do anything, so having heavy fort on a low plus armour/shield is a nice perk. With your HP's running below 300 you really want to stop those crits, they can hurt your HP's real bad with one blow, causing some serious panick moments.

Whats your AC like at the mo? Two things Id suggest to you are work on your AC, try and get yourself some mithral fullplate, +4 or +5 is obviously the best. Work on upping your DEX to get the most out of it. Run Invaders! for the ring and try and get yerself a good pro item. Get a set of Chaosgarde, they seem to be coming down in price on the AH too. Even concentrate on getting the ring from the Titan raid (I think). Take the Bulwark line of enhancements to up it some more. With all these things you should be able to hit a decent AC, meaning you'll get hit less in GH and the new quests. And the second is the heavy fort item. Very important to get a heavy fort item. When you dont have it you dont realise how good a job they really do.

Not sure what your stats are, but if you went 8 CON Id think you put some points into DEX to allow for filling out mithral. Try and get your AC to the high 40's low 50's...which really isnt that hard to do. Throw some barkskin on there from a high level ranger and you are all good. Spring some Divine Favor and whack away with your +4 Shockburst longsword of Pure Good and watch the barbarians cry about the killcount...while not even getting hit....bwahaha!

    PALADINS FTW!!

    Default Tome+2

Eating a con tome+2 will give you another 20 hp at level 20. Nevertheless you will not be able to tank anything at endgame with only hp between 300-350.

This thread needs more drama. I am not entertained enough yet.

The no flaming for having an 8 con gives it away as a very old thread.

Almost got me though, I was going to congrat the ppl's that replied
for the nice and thoughtful tone of their post.
    Argh how times change.
