Account Creation fails with 500 error

Hi Guys,

I have a LOTRO based Turbine account and was trying to activate DDO. It doesn't work. Read in the forums that it is a bug and raised ticket and there is no response for quite sometime. So looked at the other option of creating new login. But it also fails with a HTTP 500 error in both Chrome and Microsoft edge. Anyone knows of a solution?

I don't remember if the situation I had gave a 500, but I was trying to create a new account for my wife and kept just getting a blank page. After spending a while on the phone with a tech support guy, it finally came out that the DDO system doesn't like just any old special characters in the password field. You can use !, @, #, $, or %, but I was trying to use *. Once I addressed that, account creation went off without a hitch.
