Look in the dev tracker for a post about Otto's by Cordovan.

Basically he said they would remain unchanged. So should work like it used to.

At 5k a pop "basically or should" doesn't cut it. I need a definitive answer and not a "more than likely". Stealth changes are definitely in Turbine's bag of sneaky tricks.

If you don't open it, it is available to trade. I just bought 3 and they are not bound. Once you open them only the stone is able to be castable on others the rest is BTA.

I much prefer Epic Quests and with the Xpac being mostly Epic, it's a nice feature for me to play what I want. And with the EP coming I need to change the race of a couple of toons and this will ease the pain of a force TR.

One day, when annoyed enough to do so. I will buy 45 stones and go triple double-epic PLives too- completionist in 4 months. And then name the toon "Paidt Owin".

actually they are slightly glitched. stones are tradable , mailable but not usable on the character receiving them, only character on the account who originally opened the box can use them on someone else. so, yes, in a way you can trade just stones but the person selling has to cast it on the person buying. they were gonna change that (it wasn't wai) but since the bigby's problems and all the talk about not changing otto's i am quite positive they didn't touch them.
