Thanks for the reports.

One more thing I noticed we should confirm:
Casual difficulty lists a penalty to loot in the tooltip (cant remember if it was -1 or -2), but it isnt clear if its in addition to the standard quest level reduction or not..
So need a report of a +2 tome in lvl15 casual quest, or +3 in lvl23. (or equivalent with bonuses.)

Also updated to note that chest blessing is only +1 loot, per developer confirmation.

During the +2 loot I pulled a +4 to +5 CHA upgrade tome out of the spider chest (I also had a +2 jewel running)

And what difficulty did you run Battle on? EE would be 23, so that fits, but I think most epic end rewards are at least +1/+2 loot anyways. (and yea end rewards do track your difficulty now)

Thats pretty good evidence that +3 to 4 upgrade tomes will drop pretty much anywhere +3 tomes previously dropped, and are always BTA.. As normally the non-20th shroud tomes are BTC.

Ultra lucky pull tho, as thats like 0.09% * 0.25% chance of happening.

No screenshot, but if this helpful, I pulled a +3 to +4 upgrade bta strength tome from the end reward list of Overgrowth (u15) quest after completing on epic hard.

I guess it's rarity is dimished by all the BTA +4 -> +5s dropping regularly also.

Yea it is. Droprate was somewhere in the 1 in 100,000 chance pre U16, doubt its much better now, so ultra lucky.

Hi,

I pulled a +4 to +5 INT upgrade tome in Chains of Flame on epic normal this weekend just past.

It came from the locked overseer's chest near the end of the quest. I did not have a loot gem running at the time, nor was the chest blessed.

Thats a pretty vast deviation from the rules. (CR22 quest, they drop in 27+)

Gona need more reports or a screenshot. I could see chains chests being at +1 or +2 due to its difficulty, but +5 seems off.

Hi,

I am sorry, but I don't have a screenshot of the chest itself. I could provide a screenshot from just before yesterday's TR which shows the +5 inherent bonus to the stat, but I realise that's not anywhere near as useful.

Initially I wasn't going to post, because I didn't expect to be believed. Then I thought it was worthwhile because it seems so anomalous that something like that would drop in in a quest at epic normal difficulty.

Feel free to ignore my post if you don't think it's credible, but for what it's worth I'm not trying to mislead you or anyone else.

PS: I have the names of the two other toons that were in my party then if you want to talk to them. That might help if you want to follow this up.

Pulled a +3 to +4 Upgrade Dex tome, BTA, end/only chest in a Hard Abbot run last night. I'm not sure if there was a loot gem going or not as I didn't pop the chest.

Unfortunately I didn't think to take a screenshot as I had wife aggro going from yellow to red alert =D
