I finally capped my monk recently. One of the things I wanted to test out was the proc rate of the Epic Wraps of Endless Light from the Mabar festival, otherwise known as the Mabar wraps. From ddowiki:
The "Radiant Blast" effect is the tested proc rate here.
Summary of results:
* Proc rate: 1.01 +- 0.10% (95% confidence interval, or 2 standard deviations)
* Damage: Average 380.2, st.dev. 22.7
This fits a variety of possible dice, such as 60d10+50, 40d12+120, 15d20+225, or 10d25+250. Since 10*25 = 250, I'd guess it's 10d25+250, but there's quite a few that works. (d25 is kind of nonstandard die.)
Dataset:
* 37705 hit attempts (i.e. including rolls of 1)
* 35804 successful hits
* 361 Radiant Blast procs (shows up in log as "Radiant Strike")
Radiant Blast damages:
The data was collected by hitting the poor ship's training dummy. Radiant Blast damages were multiplied by 2/3 (rounded up) to back out the original damage before the helpless state was considered. I was in wind stance 3 but otherwise unbuffed (except for some moron named Oomba that decided to come by and throw hero's companion and other buffs on me during one of the videos). The data comes from 6 videos, totaling around 3.7 hours of footage. 1% proc rate of average 380 damage each means it's roughly 3.8 damage per hit, so effectively, the radiant blast effect is like another 1d6 (average 3.5) damage effect.
