Default High Lords will host Reaver’s Fate and Epic Demon Queen teaching raid on Sat, May 21

Next in our 2022 teaching raid series will be a double feature of old school raids with Reaver’s Fate and Epic Demon Queen (Zawabi’s Revenge) on Saturday, May 21 at 1pm ET. If you are new to or still learning these classics, which includes DDO's first ever epic raid, please join us!

All events in this series are for players new(er) to raiding or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids, but you must be at least level 20 to enter epic content.

    Reaver's Fate Flagging

If you are new to Reaver's Fate, You will need to flag and have access to the Ruins of Gianthold adventure pack.

First talk to Cydonie in the Marketplace near the bank. Use the farshifter next to her to go to Gianthold and talk to Cydonie again in Gianthold. Then you will need to pick up and run the following quests: Cabal for One, Madstone Crater and Prison of the Planes. Once you have completed these quests, talk to Crag and Cydonie and you will then be able to run the pre-raid Gianthold Tor. After completing and turning in Tor, you can pick up the raid from Agon Uruhund next to the raid entrance. Note that it is not necessary to kill the dragons in Tor to flag for the raid. Note: be sure to pick up the heroic raids from the heroic quest givers, not the epic “Return to” quests. Running the quests on epic will not flag you for Reaver’s Fate.

    Demon Queen Flagging

If you are new to the DQ raid, you will need access to the Demon Sands adventure pack and you will need to be flagged by running 4 quests in Menechtarun:

    • Offering of Blood
    • Chains of Flame
    • Chamber of Raiyum (wiz king)
    • Against the Demon Queen

If you don't know your way around the Sands, you can check out my video Sands of Menechtarun - A Tour of all Explorers and Rares.

We will be doing the raid on epic difficulty but you can run the flagging quests on epic or heroic to flag just the same. The first 3 quests will give you an item that you need to take to the quest giver when you pick up the end reward, and then take to Zawabi the djinn, who is located up the hill from the mailbox in Zawabi's Refuge. The 3 items you need to give to Zawabi are the Orb of the Efreet, Blessed Blood Offering and the Phylactery of Raiyum. Once you've given all 3 items to Zawabi, talk to him again and he will grant the pre-raid quest Against the Demon Queen.
After running the first 3 quests, it will flag you for Against the Demon Queen ( the pre-raid quest). Make sure you have turned in the quest items to Zawabi and he has granted you the quest Against the Demon Queen before you run back out to the quest. New players may find it confusing to find, if so check out my video How to Get to and Solo EE Against the Demon Queen. Remember that you can run the 4 flagging quests on heroic if you prefer, which will allow you to run the raid on heroic or epic.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please send in-game mail or tell to me on Voodu.

This event will be live streamed on DDO’s Twitch channel DDOstream so even if you're not on Sarlona, you can watch, learn and ask questions live.
Thank you to the community for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast and DDO Chronicle for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon

    Much love,
Voodu and The High Lords of Malkier

    Default

Great runs yesterday. We had a couple folks new to epic demon queen and I did a solo tutorial of Reaver's Fate. You can watch the replay of the livestream on DDO's Twitch channel DDOstream here.

We have worked through every raid in the game this winter and spring and this concludes the main part of our 2022 teaching raid series. For the remaining Saturdays this spring, we will repeat some of the newer and more relevant raids. There are only 4 events remaining in this years teaching raid series, which will be hosted on Saturdays, May 28, June 4, 11 and 18. Next week will be Dryad and the Demigod! There is no flagging required and this is a very easy raid, so if you missed it earlier in the season then please join us! I will post details in the Sarlona forum soon
