Default What’s the max possible with non-raid gear?

As the title implies, what’s the max Intelligence and DC’s with the more commonly available gear sets? (With break down)

Reason I ask is there are several min-max threads that all require gear that’s not easy to acquire. Thus for most players, these threads are not particularly helpful when they don’t typically apply to their current situation.

I look forward to your “constructive” comments and suggestions.

    Thank you in Advance!

Max int is almost the same though you are missing the raid filligrees (so probably missing 4 total)

    14 from artifact
    6 insight (often onyx ring)
    3 quality (often set bonus)

2 profane (legendary celestial sapphire is non raid)

    common dc bonuses
    2 from Topaz
6 from item (specific) and can be crafted or 4 from sno or nightmothers etc. You can craft a generic +5
3 insightful (specific crafted) or 2 from helm of sno or nightmothers etc
2 Quality often on artifact or other sources
    2 profane on onyx ring
2 sacred only non raid sources is glory born (permanent source)

This should get you started until someone who can actually take the time to give a full break down.

Slarden posted a breakdown that we can work backwards from for a non-raid setup:
    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6485410

So the INT score would potentially drop 4 without raid filigrees though they can be sold on the auction house. -4
Same with the +2 Alchemical bonus, those shields/orbs can be sold. Without it's -2.
A reaper hat comes down to luck of the chest pull, another -2.
Potentially the profane bonus to stats isn't on a gear piece because you aren't using the Essense of the Epic Litany of the Dead, another -2.

Without those, his posted INT score drops from 116 -> 106 for a +48 modifier. (-5 DC)

    DC drop:

Potentially just the difference in not having raid filigrees would subtract another 4 from Slarden's posted breakdown.

In total, you're only down 9 DCs versus someone on an equal toon with it.
As far as a non-raid gear setup, quickly threw this together, would appreciate critiques:

Very impressive and detailed replies! (Thank you)

The end figures are much better than I had imagined considering that all of the gear is attainable without the need for raiding.

Most all of the gear you’ve listed I’ve banked so should be able to test this out and post my results later on.

Question: isn’t the Legendary Alchemical Orb a raid drop? Far as I know of these come from come from Legendary Lord of Blades and Legendary Master Artificer.

The alchemical blanks are Bind on Equip, so you can theoretically buy one. The bigger issue, if you do no raiding, is that they require threads to upgrade, so the blank will never be useful to you if you are doing no raiding at all.

There are some incredibly easy raids that are run near constantly. I would put in this list the newest ones

The Dryad and the Demigod, the only thing necessary is a tank for the middle, and someone to do puzzles, a 2nd tank for the bear and the squirrel are good, but not absolutely necessary, especially on normal/hard

Hunt or Be Hunted, not hard, cold res is very nice, and a heal over time to counter act the damage you will take. On Normal with decent Heal Amp, Cocoon is good enough in my experience, need a trapper traps just show up, search not necessary

Lord of Blades, ya, not hard

Vision of Destruction, need probably 30 or so curse pots, especially if you group is low dps, a trapper is good

Project Nemesis, jump, kill who the leader tells you to, if you get a circle under you, head into that same colour portal, kill what's in there. If you join this raid, they should already have a tank, and someone to run the laser. But if you are just a peon, kill the mobs that are trying to solve the puzzles and jump when Rudus jumps, pretty simple otherwise.

Killing Time, electric res, jump off platform, solve all the puzzles, tank for dragon, tank for shadows, just do what people tell you to do, no crazy mechanics.

Old Baba's Hut, need 2 puzzle solvers and 2 tanks, otherwise, just follow your group.

Xoriat, depends how they are doing it, but you can be really useful by having mass buffs, like Bull's Strength, otherwise do what you are told, no crazy mechanics here either

Codex and the Shroud (epic Shroud), kill the portals, follow the group, die in your puzzle if you can't solve it, someone will come get you.

Feel free to join any of those raids, there is nothing at all complicated in them, and you will learn. I haven't seen any of these fail, ever, well, Killing Time, groups can wipe, that Dragon does a lot of damage, but buff you electrical res/absorb and you should be okay.

none of them take that long either, Shroud is probably the longest, particularly if only a few people can do puzzles. There is a solver online though, same with Baba I guess. But definitely join Dryad and Hunt, they are run CONSTANTLY and are super, super, super easy.

I have graduated to doing traps, and I can puzzle in Too Hot to Handle and stuff, but generally I am just a peon following directions. All of these raids require minimal brain power, I don't use drugs or drink alcohol, but I am thinking you could definitely be high for any of them.

From what I’ve seen, the orb is rather uncommon to be on the AH if at all…

Clarification: I do raid, just very infrequently as I’m playing from GMT +1 (Germany), which really limits my options. Thus I must focus on gear-sets rather than depend on getting specific raid drops. Which by the way appears to becoming less and less of a possibility as more people are banking equipment for “later use”. It’s just a sign of the times as the game evolves, people tend to horde gear just-in-case it becomes relevant later.
