Menace of the Underdark and Shadowfell Conspiracy are going to be on sale for 99 DDO Points. And that's awesome. But I can see a bit of a problem with this sale. As far as I can tell, the ability to see account upgrades you already have access to (for example due to being VIP) in the DDO Store got removed. Now, normally this isn't an issue. But currently all AP are Free, and will be through August 31st. This means any unowned AP are not showing up in the DDO Store. So... how exactly do we take advantage of when those two expansions go on sale?

So if I understand this post correctly, VIP is now essentially worthless. A max 5% bonus to xp for 100 dollars a year? why? why not just cancel your sub and get the stuff for free? 5% (max) xp is trivial. Thanks I guess for pulling the wool over my eyes and getting me to pay for so long, just should of waited....

Other than 10% more XP (works with stones), free access to most races, classes and some enhancement trees, 500 points a month, shared bank slots, increased material and platinum storage, 10% movement speed in public spaces, longer auto-logout timer, increased mail and AH slots, direct access to hard/elite quests, monster manuals, epic destiny changes on the fly, free gold dice roll and 11 character slots?

By the way, I'm premium, hubby and I have purchased everything up to this most recent adventure pack x2 including expansions, our son's account has most everything except the most recent expansion and a handful of packs and our daughter has 2 expacks and a handful of adventures and I do NOT feel slighted in the least. I feel grateful that people that I otherwise would not get to group with have access and can all group up for adventure.

This is a great opportunity to grow the player base and I'm pleased as punch SSG is doing so.

Instead of complaining about everyone having access to something you already paid for... invite friends, family, and people that might never have given DDO a try before to join in the fun.

This, for sure. I am vip and have all xpacks. I play mostly solo so not a lot for me here, but bringing more DDO content to more people? How can this be bad?

Funny thing: 3 months ago some people said that nothing should be done to improve newbies/f2ps experience and if they want to play ddo they should buy vip and contribute to game, cause 100$s a year is almost nothing. Now the same people say 100$s per year is huge money and they need more for this price, cause they're paying for perks instead of supporting the game they love.

Wow! I expected the free time to continue maybe, but once again SSG is doing way more than I expected! Thank you! The situation is a bit depressing where I live, but at least my favorite game is always there to cheer me up Long live DDO!

To people complaining: I don't have a lot of money to spend on games, for every adventure pack I own I had to save points, for every expansion - carefully think it over with what budget I had. But I never regretted my purchases, I enjoyed playing DDO, and I'm glad that DDO is now more accessible to new players, while I can spend my hard earned points and money on new content about to be released. I wish I had more money to throw at DDO, because I would, it deserves my love.

You know I have been a vocal advocate for going VIP since before F2P. And I do think that making the non-expansion quest content F2P will be a good thing overall, however, I also feel that a minor buddy bonus is not an equivalent exchange for having the non-expansion quest content from my VIP sub. Looking around the forums and talking to people in different stream chats I know I am not alone in my assessment.

I come with a suggestion to balance the math and not just a complaint.

VIPs no longer have chest ransack. Ransack is a feel bad manganic in the modern DDo environment and would be closer to the equivalent exchange of non-expansion quest content. I also feel adding No Chest Ransack as a VIP bonus would have the side advantage of encouraging sells of raid timers and shards.


If you don't like mine, there are other good ideas floating around use one or a couple of them. But as is projected today, I am likely to not renew my sub when it rolls around again in 11 months (my yearly sub just reuped). As the math stands at the moment VIP status is no longer the best deal.

The Coupon Code will unlock all of the current adventure packs for your account. Note that this does not include expansions, although both Menace of the Underdark and The Shadowfell Conspiracy will be available for 99 DDO Points in the near future for a limited time.

Sorry if this was already asked and apologies if this sounds silly but:

1) We get all adv packs but 2 forgotten realms and Ravenloft expansion?

2) What happens if you bought MOTU but not Shadowfell? Still doable? Still 99 DDO points?

3) Will Ravenloft stay out of this deal? Future adv packs too?

You know Cord, this game truly is an awesome game. It is unlike any other MMO I have played, and I have played MMO's since the late 1990's. Over the years I have seen so many games with potential start big and flop. There have been games that drained my life ( Everquest ugggggg 72 man raids miss that, World of Warcraft and its elitism) were two of the biggest games I played that I spent endless hours of my life playing. Star wars galaxies, Ultima, Diablo 2.. Eq 2, the list goes on and on for me... But out of all of those games this one in particular has something awesome about it that the others dont. I mean you can really customize your character, and play style..it is incredible. Not to mention for those of us who have Pencil and Paper Dungeons and Dragons back grounds this game just is even more fun. Also the community is awesome. I love this game and there is no other game I want to play. I like to spend money on this game buying points and my subscription and expansions..

It is an ever changing world we live in now compared to say 20 years ago. The types of games people like to play these days vary, but I feel games like this should continue going strong, and I hope that more people are aware this game still exists and join up to play. That can only happen if people spread the word of the game through social media and talk about it among friends at school or college or work..
The draw back to that is, the servers seem to get a bit laggy when a bunch of people log on.

But yea, this is an awesome idea you guys have done. I is greatly appreciated by me and I am sure a bunch of other people as well. Thank you again.

All the packs will be granted with the coupon. You can check expansions by clicking on ACCOUNT from the launch window. Although I purchased expansions from the Market, can someone confirm they appears as subscriptions when purchased with points?

I rarely get lag when I solo, but I see quite a bit when I'm in a full group.
