Second, i dont want to sound like im asking too much... BUT how about a DDO market xpack sale? Since free content is till september(aug 31st), and i already have access to it(lower tier, was gifted to me) why not put on summer sale sharn? So i can grab the higher tier pack! I will wait till november. (I believe with free content till near that date, most of us will wait to november sale) - So why not have a sale now mid summer? (i wanna spend some money SSG! But i can be patient xD)

Point of clarification, when it says "Free Coupon", is that to say it's a Coupon you're giving away for free that will be discounting the product, or is it a code that will be giving away said product for free? Also, if it's the former then will the price take into account already owned packs?

Horrible idea. What about all the Premium players who paid for everything up-front, or all the VIPs who pay monthly, or all the Season Pass holders who were promised something just to have it all made free anyways.

I never expected something like this.
These days gaming companies seem to be just dedicated to greed and not to their players.

I will keep my VIP running at least until September.

Also should the expansions pack go on sale for 50%,
I will pick up the collectors edition for both.
I think quite a few people will feel the same. (hint)

I hope and wish that this initiative will bring many players to DDO.

We are also announcing an update to our VIP program! VIPs will be getting a permanent +1% XP boost for every member in their party other than themselves and hirelings, up to a maximum of 5%. This boost stacks with other bonuses, and works the same as our long-running weekend Buddy Boost bonuses.


players are asking this from a long time to encourage grouping, and yeah, players are also asking for more vip value….but this….seriously, yet again corrupt a wish. again and again. perma buddy bonus vip only. seriously?

No the coupon to permanently unlock all the quest packs of the game except the expansions, what I want to understand and how they will distribute the code to unlock the aforementioned packs.

That's what I'm hoping for, has it been confirmed though? Technically "Free Coupon that will let you acquire all currently-available adventure packs permanently on your account(s)" could just mean they're giving a free coupon, as in a mass discount, for all the currently available adventure packs

What premium/vip people got was the ability to play all of that content for years. I think this is a great idea and a huge bonus to people who've come to DDO to try it out in the past couple of months.

It doesn't affect me too much other than the VIP xp thing, which is nice, but it affects me in the way that it helps the population in general.

Basically this. Players have been asking for this for years to promote grouping. +1% per party member should be for everyone, permanently. Give VIPs another +1-2% per party member.

As a premium player who likes to play multiple toons on different servers, I really like this generous offer. Since the free content has been made available I have been enjoying the quests I didn't previously have and definitely playing more. Now there will be even more time to flower sniff. Many thanks!

it's everything a great idea, and generous, for the ddo population and to keep the newest players that enjoyed the free-for-all content.

also, there's nothing to complain about new players getting all for free, i paid it, but it's not mine, i unlocked access, that's how it works, and i played for years.


i am bitter about that vip only perma buddy bonus. you should encourage grouping in any way possible, this is a mmo right? such a feature was one of the most requested feature. and they lock it behind vip. i call this "yet again corrupt a wish". a lot of players suggesting something good for the game as a Whole, and the answer is (after a really long time) ok, yes...BUT.
