Gen Con 2017 (August 17-20) Gathering For Buffs™ meet-up.

I have my tickets, and have signed up for events, so I'll definitely be there. Since I am also driving, I will have a box of (mostly old) DDO swag. Friday's Gathering For Buffs should be cool, so peeps should set aside a few hours on Friday evening as they schedule things if they want to hang with DDO peeps.

Is SSG just not interested in participating in GenCon for some reason? Why not do more swag and try to get buzz for DDO going at the show?

In the late Turbine/WB years, it was a corporate budget decision. This being the first year of SSG trying to get things rolling, I can see the pennies being doled out carefully. Sadly, while I agree with the spirit of your question, this year at least needs to be focused on getting the house in order.

I'm just always happy to see folks taking their personal time to show up in the years the Gathering™ has been an unofficial event.

To many and I couldn't get one event I wanted so skipping even though it's only 2.5 hours away this year and my rpg group will be there so I will go to the Bristol ren faire instead

Going to stick to the same place we've held it the past few years at the Severin bar, which is in the Omni Severin hotel, 40 West Jackson Place.

Time is fluid. I get there about 8 to start wrangling some space, usually managing to get the long table on the left in the picture below. But any time after that when you want to wander in is cool.

Also, I always make sure to wear one of my DDO t-shirts.

Going to stick to the same place we've held it the past few years at the Severin bar, which is in the Omni Severin hotel, 40 West Jackson Place.

Time is fluid. I get there about 8 to start wrangling some space, usually managing to get the long table on the left in the picture below. But any time after that when you want to wander in is cool.

Word, I didn't realize there was a thing there either. We'll either carve out a spot or find somewhere else. If we end up somewhere else I will make sure to get that word on Twitter and Facebook (official DDO TW/FB). As per usual, and especially due to this year's Gen Con sellout, we'll need to be flexible. I intend to - try - to get there around 7-7:30, but we'll see how it goes. If all else fails we can hit up the old-old hotel bar if it's still around (can't remember the name, but it's a bit north and east of the convention center, and has always been quiet). Either way, don't worry if it's not yet eight pm and you haven't caught up with us, we'll either be there or will get the word out on Twitter and Facebook.

Heck, if things go pear-shaped and you want to attend but are not having any luck finding us, DM me on Twitter (either personal or official).

The one thing that I am - certain - of is that I have swag. One big box, and one smaller box. It's more than I can carry night-of, so I will have some with me at Gen Con. If you see me, say hello and I will get you an end reward. I've got some hoodies, t-shirts, dice and dice bags, drow minis, and some odds and ends. Also, some LOTRO stuff, since I have been pinged by some LOTRO peeps who might want to swing by for a bit as well.
