Ditto. I'd actually gone back to VIP this past month to see if the bonus VIP XP was worth it. (end result - not really)
But no amount of bonuses or incentives will make me take risks with my financial security. Turbine can go take a flying leap after these changes - they'll not get a single cent from me again.
I dont know what it all means, but with all the commotion about this i just followed the link provided and requested removal. Theres enough people raising possible security issues that got me nervous enough to do it.

You are the one choosing not to play alts.
Casual player now investing way less than I used to into the game, playing 1-3 months at a time and still want nothing to do with Reaper. #improvepuggrouping#alldifficultiesmatter
I think I must be missing some information here, if the changes are to the DDO Forums then wouldn't most personal and CC/PP info be fine as it's not on this database but that of the Turbine site?
My Toons:
DWP - Fighter, Olur Takun - Barbarian, Perddy Elfie - Artificer, Tamqil Jemhar - Ranger
RedShirt / Roleplayer of Giant Slayers, Inc. on Thelanis, formerly Tharashk.
Member of the DDO Player Council
Coldin-Artificer; Lynton-Bard; Alydyn-Swashbuckler;
Takai-Monk; Rosein-Paladin; Ellyiana-Cleric; Aurixs-Sorcerer
The changes will be inextricably linking your forum information to your personal account information. They will be one and the same as far as the database is concerned. All info in one handy and hackable place... just as it was with the LotRO forums when they got hacked.
And Turbine hasn't said a single solitary word that they've taken any steps to protect our information any better then they did LotRO players' information.
The only way that I would continue to post on the official DDO Forums after this change (and after EXACTLY this problem cause massive security problems for LotrO) would be if I were paranoid enough to have created a mule account exclusively for DDO Forums access so that I could keep the account that I play shielded from any foolish changes that Turbine decided to make to their forums.
I'll see you all on the forums after the changeover!
No one in the world ever gets what they want
And that is beautiful
Everybody dies frustrated and sad
And that is beautiful
For what - telling the truth?
They didn't listen to us at all. In fact - we just got nothing but spin and placation from Turbine when we spoke out against the Wall. It wasn't until gaming sites talked about the furor and questionable decision-making behind OfferWall, making Turbine look very bad in the process, that Turbine took it down.
I'm perfectly chilled out.And I'm not wrong, either.
Good. Maybe having their email response time backed up from 9 days to 3 months will send the message that people were serious when bringing up these concerns. Usually people complain and then DONT take action, which is part of what helped create this atmosphere where complaints just get ignored. The ACTION should be a clear indicator tha its not a false alarm.
