Opensource OS Installed, 20 WF Artificer. 6x disable(68 iirc) so no hassles with the traps.

Align Weapon and Silver Weapon buffs always loaded, i'll make sure i've swapped in Curative Addmixture: Remove Curse and pick up Recon scrolls.

Great to see training runs being organised. 8)

this is a really good idea a big thumbs up to the op. i would like to join as ive not done this raid yet and this seems the perfect soloution. my name is above without the ing im a 18 ranger 2 fighter tempest, dr breakers i use are 2 silver HB+5GLOB(got to love crafting). i believe this would be done at 1am uk time, could somone just confirm this for me as if excepted dont wanna miss it. if not in this time would like to be added for future runs and a big thx again great idea.

I might not be a completely new player, but I sure am new to many of the end-game raids.. And I'll probally always be that, because getting yelled at takes the fun out of the game.

I've just jumped over to Sarlona, but when I get a character up to 20ish, I will be glad to take part in this.

Though I understand traps suck, but Yuda has a point. A lot of pug runs either cant get or forget the rogue type toon and wipe on the traps. It would be highly beneficial to teach these new players to raiding how to avoid the traps. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

P.S. Confirmation on having 10th off so I'll definitely be online throughout the day. Good luck and enjoy the run if all spots fill.

Of note, as I've only seen all traps or no traps, I wouldn't mind just blowing/ignoring one wall.

Bring whichever, but be prepared to swap depending on circumstances.

It's also likely there will be a roll off, thumb wrestling, or something to determine who is tanking if multiple good candidates are present.

Dex-based pure rogue. What would I need to be viable on a raid like this? Just 40+ search/disable, and appropriate weapons?
My HP is really low - what's a bare minimum for being able to run as the trap-remover for this?

It's possible that he's just not going to work out (HP too low, Str too low, high Dex isn't valuable enough), but I'd like to see what I can do.

Just a quickie...

14ish con, spend all the 1 for 1 points
Toughness feat
All racial toughness enhancements
Greater False Life
Con 6 item
Minos Legens or Thrak Bracelet (toughness item for 20 HP)
150 Agent of Argonesson favor (gianthold and reaver refuse, this favor gets you 10 HP)
+2 con tome (expensive, might take awhile to get)

You should try for 400ish HP as a thief, more is possible and better.


I'm not a fan of dex based unless you have certain special dex-for-damage weapons or you reach a crazy high AC. (think 80+)


Weapons should be a combination of good and silver for devil bosses like this raid, shroud, and tower of despair. The ddowiki has a god writeup, search for "DR" or "damage reduction".

18 minutes and pretty smooth once people made it through the low road. Big thanks to Greive, Yuda, and Naphor for helping out, as well as all the new(ish) people for doing a really good job that resulted in a smooth run.


Will probably do another event like this soonish.

Loved to follow this thread, although I couldn't join (as much as I wanted to) because of the chosen hour (late night for Europeans, and Friday being a labour day). Loved to see that it was a smooth and profitable run for everyone, vets and noobs alike. Any chances of getting other high-end training sessions at other times, maybe for the ideal early afternoon for Americans / late evening for Europeans / early morning for Asians+Kiwis time bracket, particulary on weekends?
