    Default Update 10 – Rogue Skill Watermarks?

    Hi All,

    In preparation for a TRed rogue build I’m working on, I’ve been searching the forums and interwebs looking to see how high I need push my rogue skills for end-game epic content.

    I’m finding lots of older posts with (what seems to be) outdated numbers, as I’ve also seen multiple references to some recent update to the DCs of traps/locks and monsters spot/listen checks.

    I’m hoping the active end-game rogue players might assist me here; what DCs am I looking at for epic traps? What total bonus (skill + items + exception + GH + boost etc...) do I need for the following skills? Rough guesses are fine. plz/thx

    -search:
    -disable (with +5 tools):
    -unlock (with +5 tools):
    -hide (with rogue PL):
    -move silent (with rogue PL):

    Or maybe this has already been put together, and someone knows of a site my google-foo couldn't find...?

    Well...I appreciate the input Dark. Unfortunately, your Google-Fu found the exact page in which I'd earlier referred to as out of date. The guide starts with "This guide was a runner up in Turbine's 2007 User Written Game Guides Contest. ". Lots have changed since 2007.

    Not to mention it was build off this thread, in 2006 - http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?p=541350

    In the guide discussion, it states -- "..contributors are currently seeking others to help keep the guide up to date with changing game conditions (such as the level cap increase to 20)!"

    ...and I'm sure there've been multiple modifications to those values in the last 4 years. I've read multiple threads that mention updates to the values in Epic, specifically.

    The numbers I used to go by when I built my assasin rogue and thus far I have had no problems with any epic lvl traps.

    Disable device 52 unbuffed (Epic Tide Turns)
    Search 52 unbuffed
    Open lock low 40's
    spot upper 30's low 40's if you don't already know there is a trap there and actually need spot.

    My mutliclassed lvl 20 rogue fighter combo has a 52 disable and a 57 search unbuffed and has not had a problem doing any trap in the game.

    Thanks everyone! And sorry Dark, I prolly coulda mentioned in the original post that I had found that guide, and read other posts of more recent DC updates. ;-p

    Yes, but if you read the page, you will notice several updates, including one in U6. So that page still has merit.
