The pirate full plate, hat and ring are viable options for toons running epics and I'm not sure why you would lump them with 0% fort and 300 HP

Whoever the ranger was never really talked. Just sucked mana and never listened to any guidance that was given. When they weren't using the quarterstaff they ranging with no effect whatsoever.

hmmm, that really sucks. Anyone ask them why? I know some people confuse twf and thf. I've personally ran arrael with two handers until level 12 on her tr's (and then bust out the kopeshes) because carnifex and thf are just that effective at low levels and have occasionally had a conversation about it with newer players, but I also build max strength and take power attack at level 1, and explain the reasoning behind it and that they should eventually be twf.

The real problem for me is that it used to be that only the well-geared and highly skilled players would join groups posted by my deeply splashed casters.

Now when Stryde posts a "BYOH and [party member] is piking", we get all kinds.

The other thing that I realized last night is this--
When I put up an LFM for the first Raid, unless there is a completely offensive non listening person in group, everyone is invited to stay for the second raid and so on,..

I'll try to keep this in mind - my normal MO is to say thanks and drop, and watch for an LFM to show up again.

You've already mentioned this, but I can see why people might think that QE doesn't PUG anymore - your LFMs are only up for a few seconds. I learned long ago that the only way to get in is to apply with who I'm on, then ask to swtich. Otherwise, by the time I log another toon you guys are almost done with the raid.

Lol. Read the whole thread and realize that longtime players (even the OP) has agreed that on many toons the pirate gear may even be better than an equivalent epic item. Compare cavalry plate to other epic full plates.
