    Default Heystack—Stay Away From Me!!!

I suggest creating a hireling toggle that makes them stay a certain distance away from you. I am tired of Heystack standing on top of me when I am taking AOE spam and Cleave damage and I am tired of toggling "follow me" and "stand your ground" before and after every fight to try to avoid this.

The amount of clicking this feature would save me would also save the lives of many left mouse buttons and ease my carpal tunnel.

    Thank you for your consideration.

Oh and, btw, the feature should only keep the desired space when the hireling is FOLLOWING you. For instance, if *I* run toward the hireling it should not also run away from me to keep the distance. This way I can pull aggro off of the hireling when needed.

I agree it's the other option they need on their toolbar, follow distance.

    Close, Medium, Far

If you're ranged and the hireling is ranged you may choose close.

If you're melee and the hireling is melee you may choose close.

But if these are opposites, you will probably want far if not medium.

    Absolutely!

I keep thinking about how handy this would be too...

I require a medium setting. Hirelings are great for taking aggro so that my Rogue can backstab those mean meanyheads for assaulting my poor disposable hireling. "Close" would have the aggro running into me on the way to cleave her. That might be bad.

Hah! First mistake of hireling pocket healer use 101....they are to remain on passive at all time unless you are to busy to babysit them and they took some aggro and need to heal themselves.....at which point u put them on defensive.....I rarely ever put them on attack mode.

2nd, if u don't have at least invisibility clickies....the spell is better if u can UMD mass scolls or if u are an arcane.....and ur not just using them for in between fights after all the mobs are dead.....good luck......because they go for the hireling right away everytime, and if you're fighting a whole lot of mobs at once, you're going to be hard pressed to keep your squishy hireling alive.

Third.....hotkey the heal spell on the numbepad plus button......it's quick and easy to press. I also hot key the follow stand still command on the numberpad minus button in case I forgot to make the hireling stand still.

Fourth, for just about all the cleric hireling, if you had them on passive mode and quickly toggle them to defensive, they will drink a mnemonic or two, just make sure to toggle them back to passive after they drink them.
