He (along with Dave Arneson) was one of the the original creators of D&D back in the 70's. Without him, none of this would be here.

Gary was almost always a wizard when he played. I had a chance to spend time with him at a con many years ago and he said that the wizard was the class that he and his brother Ernie were more likely to play. Most of the famous wizards in PnP (Otto, Melf, Tenser, Otluke, etc) were characters of either Gary or Ernie when they played together.

I find it funny that to this day, people who play D&D in one form or another have no clue who that man is or what he has done for D&D and the entire RPG universe.

I'll pull out a few weapons to give-away to new players in the evening, Hawks! The more-important question is are you going on a Delera's Run & do you have a character of level-appropriate; or do you plan on doing a pure-RP ELITE level 16 run w/music?

And for sure Cleavon! Setting up Roster now:

Delera's Hard Roster: Levels 3-6 (requires at least 1 competent warrior to lead).

• Kephran? (I'm going to the elite first with Kilimanjaro around 7pm CST)

Delera's Elite Roster: Levels 6-9 (ETTO @ 7pm CST -- leave 2.5 hours open for a non-zerg role-play run).

• Kilimanjaro (Level 9 Human Fighter/Tactician)
• Ihurt (Level 6 Waforged Barbarian)
• Julanii (Level 9 Drow Sorcerer)

PS: I'd like to do the low-level run too, but due to time constraints (ie private pilot study zerg) I am unsure if I can dedicate myself beyond 1 run and the give-away.

i only got a lvl 16 capped toon so if there is a group that needs it for just completion or favor i will join that if not i will hand out goodies and jam out at lobster
