While running quests with guildie today I pulled some trash and a Burning Blood scroll. So nothing unusual. Until I noticed that it didn't need UMD check. Took closer look and noticed that it says that it is available to level 10 bards ( so 4th level spell). Couldn't confirm from trainer that it is bard spell but at least wiki says it is not. Could someone confirm.
Same thing with Cyclonic Blast and Phantasmal Killer.

Oddly, I have never been able to find any article talking about this. As a Bard you will find several scrolls you can cast without UMD, most important of them being the Heal scroll, pretty hand for heroic levels and whenever you're negative-leveled.

Some classes got enhancements that add extra spells to spellbooks.
Requirement for no UMD scroll is to have spell on list of spells that can be learned by class, that's why bards can use hjeal scroll, clerics can use enervate and artificers can use lightning bolt.
Its this way (spells you might learn, not spells that you know) so sorcs can use scrolls of spells they didn't learned.

Ty for response. I asked this because before Druids were released I found scroll that included druid. Because of that case I asked, because I was hoping Bards getting new spells to their list of spells. So I thought maybe it is similar case and Bards would get it to their spell list when the updates to WC and SS come to live. And Heal is understandable as SS capstone makes it level 6 Bard spell.

Heal scroll requires UMD for a bard. Something around 40 iirc.

Actually it doesn't, as bards get it at level 16. So before level 16 you have to make caster level check. Go and test yourself

Bards do not get Heal as a spell unless they take the Spellsinger capstone. Heal scrolls require UMD checks on a bard.

Look at a Heal scroll in-game. It says "No UMD checks for: Clr 11, FVS 12, Drd 15, Brd 16"

This is completely true. If a class is able to get a spell ability via enhancements that is not part of their usual spell list, the class itself is listed as being able to use wands/scrolls without an UMD check.
I first noticed this with my cleric after Warpriest was released; all clerics now do not need an UMD check to use Blur wands and scrolls. The reason is that Warpriest gets Blur added to cleric spell list at level 12, so all clerics are now able to use those items. Same story with Lightning Bolt for Arties and Heal for Bards.

The spells scrolls are coded more towards PnP's rules, and ddo is more streamlined for mmo rules. Maybe some day the spells will be added to books or chooseable, but for now, they have exclusive lists.
