Hello. I am planning my next toon life and it will be using a high dodge as a layer of defense. The wiki is not clear on a few things and was wondering if any of you know which dodge enhancements stack with one another.

My google-fu has provided a few answers and the wiki provides another incomplete answer.

According to https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/425475-Highest-possible-dodge?p=5099434&viewfull=1#post5099434:

Do NOT Stack -
Halfling Improved Dodge
Ranger Tempest Improved Dodge
Barb Occult Slayer Uncanny Dodge
Fighter Kensei Improved Dodge

Does Stack
Druid Nature's Warrior Improved Dodge (indicates requires wild form)
Monk Ninja Spy Acrobatic

But there are other dodge enhancements that are not covered:

Stack?
Artificer Acanotech Master Defender (while near Homunculus)
Rogue Thief-Acrobat Shadow Dodge
Sorc Air Savant Acrobatic
Wizard Pale Master Bone Armor
Drow Ambidexterity
Drow Improved Dodge
Elf Skill
Human Fighting Style Ambidexterity
Morninglord Skill
PDK Fighting Style Ambidexterity
Shadar-Kai Improved Dodge

Thanks for any insight

If you haven't already, read the DDO Wiki article on Dodge bonuses (http://ddowiki.com/page/Dodge_bonus) for what generally works and doesn't work for additional insight.

It looks as if variations that magnify Dodge (such as Improved or Uncanny Dodge) never stack, but feats and racial/class effects of normal Dodge tend to stack. On gear, only the highest bonus is applied but should stack to other effects.

If you can get 20%-25% sustained Dodge and then use any class/race abilities that increase the Dodge cap a bit from 25% to 28%, you're doing good. It's not really possible to extend Dodge beyond this as a sustained level. Feats and enhancements may give a temporary bonus but some are known to be buggy.

Dodge isn't the only miss-chance effect you can increase to reduce damage chances. Look at this article on how you can boost Incorporeality and Concealment as well (http://ddowiki.com/page/Miss_chance). All these effects are rolled separately; if any attack roll fails to bypass any one of these three, you escape damage.

Thanks for the reply Spencerian. The wiki page only mentions enhancements in this statement "Dodge bonuses from spells, enhancements, EDs, items, and feats stack."

This could mean that none of the enhancements stack with each other, but I was wondering about this due to some enhancement sources of dodge having additional requirements (possibly making them unique sources of dodge) such as the Druid or Artificer dodge enhancements.

If I could access Lamannia I would test this, but I uninstalled it and there is yet to be a new download link for the llama client (plus I think it's down right now.)

Your post has some great information in it(miss chance stacking is key for more difficult content), but I really was just curious about dodge enhancements.

The Ninja Spy enhancement Agility (3% dodge) DOES stack with the Halfling or Tempest or Kensai 3% dodge enhancements (but none of those three stack with each other).

The Ninja Spy enhancement Agility (3% dodge) DOES stack...snip

The wording for Ninja Spy Agility indicates "+3 Concentration, Reflex Saves, and Maximum Dodge bonus." I read that to mean the max dodge cap. Does it provide 3% dodge bonus as well?

So I spent a little time this morning on Lamannia.

I can confirm that Druid Nature's Warrior Improved Dodge does stack with the other improved dodge options. Added to initial post. Will do more testing as time permits. Any input is appreciated.

I meant Ninja Spy Acrobatic... It's the only that one stacks with other class dodge enhancements.

Lvl 28 human pure light monk, sustained dodge is 31% currently, shadow viel for incorp, 120AC, and 65PRR..... you can have decent survivability as a melee. If I swap out my ring, dogde drops to 26%... still very nice.
