Ok so I just got back from a rather long break and I'm curious about epic destinies, shiradi to be precise. So I looked over the wiki and noticed it said Wizards are not one of the qualifying classes even though I see all these archmage evo shiradi builds that interest me so. So I kept looking and it said you could also have a certain tier in legendary dreadnought, but to get that I need a certain tier in shadow dancer, and to get that I need tiers in fatesinger.

Of all of those the only one wizards can take from the getgo is fatesinger so how do I get to shiradi from wizard?
Do I have to reset my destiny everytime I want to switch to a different one in order to qualify for another?
A more straightforward question and most important, could someone outline for me the process of acquiring shiradi as a wizard starting from reaching level 20 and ending with acquiring the destiny.

Edit:Yes I realized too little too late I spelled it wrong in the title >.>

Alright, here's the "down-low":

1) Wizards, Artificers, and Rogues (the classes in my Shiradi Destroyer Build) do not get Primal spheres unlocked. To get to Shiradi champion, you need to work your way across the Martial (blue) sphere through Legendary Dreadnought. Most who are using the Evo Archmage Shiradi built there way to it in a prior life (in fact, I went through the trouble of farming all of the destinies as my current FVS life so I can TR into the evo archmage build).

2) You do not need to reset your destiny everytime you want to switch to a new destiny. When you unlock a new destiny, you simply go to a Fatespinner, and ask to adjust your destiny. From there, you click on the destiny you want to level through, and you click "Make Active" at the top right of the destiny's page.

3) Don't start leveling multiple destinies until you hit level 25 (this way, you do not take on a penalty). Do not farm House of Rusted Blades or Epic Jungles of Khyber (EVON3) until you hit level 25, as these two quests offer a generous amount of exp (For the latter, the quest is much longer than Rusted Blades, but you will get more exp generally per run than Rusted Blades [and Rusted Blades gets excruciatingly boring after multiple rapid-fire speed runs]).

4) As a Pure Wizard, it's not a good idea to try to level the Shadow Dancer and Legendary Dreadnought destinies without first being level 25 (this way, you can farm Rusted Blades and EVON3 on Normal without penalty. There are other quests that award great exp, but the two mentioned quests were my "go-to" quests for farming destiny exp), and you'll want to have a decent group so as to make farming the Martial Destinies easier.

5) My particular Shiradi build capitalized on missile spam, and supplemented that spam with ranged weapons and artificer spells (elemental weapons, rune arms, and Insightful damage were excellent supplements for my high dex/int build). A pure Evocation Archmage might get some decent DC's off of their Meteor swarms, and other high-level damage spells, but part of the trick with a Shiradi-mage is that you want to capitalize on spells that inflict multiple-ticks of damage (SLA's [Spell-Like Abilities], DOT's [Damage Over Time - spells like Acid Arrow and Eladar's Electric surge], Magic Missiles, Scorching Ray, and the level 3 Ice Lance all have a decent chance of proccing Shiradi effects per cast). Magic Missiles and Chain Missiles have THE best chance of proccing Shiradi effects because they hit the most, and the SLA equivalents can proc those effects with greater efficiency as well (they can be fully Meta'd, and still only use half the mana of the MM/CM's base cost (2 for Magic Missile SLA, and 6 for Chain Missile).

6) For extra-mileage with your Shiradi, I would suggest putting some levels into Fury of the Wild for Boulder toss (these boulders do extra-damage [or at least used to - they don't seem to go post 1k damage as much as of u16, and the paralysis from the Nerve Venom no longer appears to be granting the damage bonus from helplessness]).

If you have Draconic Incarnation at a high enough level, and have enough fate points to do so, I would also suggest twisting energy bust - this is nice for when mobs get up close and personal, and the energy bursts tend to eat up a large chunk of the enemy's health (in most cases on Epic Normal, the mobs die right away, or are only a few hits from death after the fact).

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that was incredibly helpful. One more question, do epic destinies you've leveled through maintain those levels when you tr and you regain them as you reach level 20-25 again?

Epic Destinies are PERMANENT, which is why it's such a good idea to level them before you enter your next-life. You get to use all of your destinies at the level you had them at prior to TR'ing upon hitting level 20. So if you went and maxed out Shiradi, and got to level 5, at level 20 in your next life, you get to use Shiradi at its level 5 state (no level-gating here).

This means, for example, if I were to TR now, and get my WF 12 EVO archmage, 6 arti, 2 rogue to level 20 after getting the 12 level of wizard as my final level, I would be able to benefit from the Audience with the Queen, the Nerve venom, and full prism tree upon hitting level 25.

Edit: One other fun little bit of advice, you'll want Exalted Angel as well for the Endless Faith twist; maxed out, it lets your mana recharge to 30 instead of 12, which means longer sustained nuking, and the ability to cast reconstruct with no meta's active if you wait long enough (also means nearly unlimited uses of Energy Bursts - just need to hold out long enough to get to 20/30 SP to unleash it).

Thanks once again, incredibly helpful and I think I'm ready to start messing around with epic destinies.

Cool, but here are some things to keep in mind -

1) Rune arm blasts do not proc Shiradi effects (at least, not currently due to some kind of bug it seems).

2) Shiradi mages are a MOBILE build, even with 648 or so HP for my Shiradi Destroyer, he needs to stay mobile and stay as far away from melee mobs as possible or he will be in trouble. Stand still only if someone in your party can keep the agro off of you. You will also want to have Haste and a the highest-possible Striding item on hand to better enable you to keep your distance.
