Thanks for the plug! I only have one concern my name is pronounced Row-bee. :(
I know it doesn't look like that is how it is pronounced, but it is. I guess I just like to be difficult.

edit: I believe the clue about mod one in the marketplace has to do with the performers behind the tent. If you cast true seeing on yourself you can see that the three performers have some kind of crab like thing on their heads. Some form of mind control? Maybe.

Wow, I didn't know that. I'll have to check it out. I bet you are right. Huh, ROW-bee. I guess I needed a pronouncer. That's the problem when trying to read names, it's easy to get them wrong.

Oops! Forgot to add the link. I've added it now. Sorry about that. Thanks for being on the show.

I also need to correct something - it wasn't Deneithan Longstaff that came up with Fruitloop the Cereal Killer, rather, it was Fpoon/Psychonaut. He's a guildie of Deneithan's, but I had just copied over a part of his email into the show notes and misread it.

mentioned this in the comments on ddocast.com, but I wanted to put it here too

Trip/Sunder:

You get Trip and Sunder when your character has +1 Base Attack Bonus, not at level 1.

Gr8 Job ppl !!!

Luved the bit about "Loot Envy" but moreso the bit about ....

PERMADEATH !!!! YAY!!! :D:D:D:D

*cue sound of crowd cheering in the background*

:)

I am a new convert to Permadeath and I luv it, luv it LUV IT !!! It has given me a new lease in DDO life.

I am a new member of Extreme Explorers and I can personally vouch for them as a gr8 group of ppl to be guilded with.

Permadeath itself will make the game a more real experience for you, it is not always slower but definitely slower than a Zerg. You will learn how to play by tactics and as a team. We survive because we work together. The leaders have a thorough knowledge of quests and the game and even PnP, character builds etc, so is ideally suited to new players.

There is a great sense of achievement which is always a good thing :D

It is achievable it can be done.

When I first joined PD I thought Ill be dead at LVL 2 falling off something in the harbour. My very first toon is LVL 9 already. I designed her to survive and be self sufficient, so I am especially proud that I designed her.

My first goal was LVL 5, then 400 favour, my next is LVL 10 who knows maybe Ill shoot for LVL 20 and/or 1750 favour :)

You have to try it at least once, Ill even put the "UBER" challenge out there.

Think youre UBER come test yourself in Permadeath to see if you really have been touched by the UBER Gods LOL

Are we a cult ?!?!? No, you can leave when you want :)

I personally only preach about what Im passionate about, when I have experienced something trully awesome and lifechanging. Ok so DDO is a kind of life... yea?... :o well its mine right now

Nice show all. Except Jerry. Hate CREED, Love Guided By Voices? Dude? Hah! Frootloop the Serial Killer... Yea, go with a "real" name.

Kotels, Ghirmeshk, you rock. Great interview. Carr, hah! Awesome co-hostage.

And for that guy with all the raid loot problems, man...play some permadeath and forget that made-up loot drama. Real Drama = You and your buds fighting like mad to survive. Fake Drama = Someone getting all bent over some raid loot. Real Drama > Fake Drama.

--Stay Hard

<<Edit. Oops, better soften that up a bit. OK, so I realize some of you live for raid loot, but really...if the one thing you remember from your three hour session is some putz whining over raid loot, reassess. Your memories should be those of fallen comrades in your epic battles and awesome adventures>>

Great show!

Great job Kotels, Kudesnik, and Carlee!

Kud, I really liked what you had to say about Permadeath when you said, "There are plenty of ways to die," and talked about the use of the brokers and vendors and AH. There are lots of ways to play DDO & many flavors of PD out there!

Kotels, I loved that you quoted Zornocio! He has a great way of helping people into our style of play!

Carlee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All your brigandines are belong to me!

Too cool! I'll be sure to get you on as a co-host sometime in the future.

And Parvo - it's true. I really, really dislike Creed. I like GBV, and even interviewed Bob Pollard once, but I'm more of a "love them live" rather than listen-to-the-albums kind of guy. Although I love Universal Truths and Cycles. But the video is really good.

as a new F2P'er, the DDO casts have been an EXCELLENT source of information, and the best podcast based on a game I've ever listened to! I'm currently working my way backwards through your casts and each one has been great.

I too have made a cleric and just purchased Delera's Tomb and Necropolis while they were both on sale. I'm enjoying a more offensive approach in these quests with my guild on Thelanis.

Keep up the good work DDOcast staff!

excellent work on ddocast. im a first time listner, and would like to say what a great job you did, and are doing.

what brought me to your broadcast was the portion that refered to my.ddo. it caught my attention becuse ive recieved a number of references to ddocast giving people the impression that the anonymous feature that is built into my.ddo supposedly hides your char sheet. even though you guys didnt focus on the negative aspects of my.ddo nearly as much as the positive aspects, i clearly see that was not what you guys said.

keep up the good work. you may have found a new regular listner.

Thanks you two, very much appreciated.

Shal, I remember the conversation you are talking about. At the time I don't think any of us were aware that there was a "workaround" to be able to see anonymous characters on My.DDO.com. If we had known about it, I'm sure we would have said something. If I haven't mentioned it yet, we'll have to do that soon.

For those that played LOTRO, myddo.com and mylotro.com are the same. What you are going through with myddo.com, I went through with mylotro.com. I know the devs were working on pulling your ingame friends list into mylotro when I was able to ask the devs some questions in an xfire event. What was basically conveyed was mylotro had a goal to be your facebook page for your MMO lifestyle. I see the same here with myddo, as would be expected since they are both Turbine products. So, be on the look out for your friends list to tie into myddo. However, before that happens I'm sure they'll have to figure out how to tie your friend's list across characters to your account or something.
