I'm new to DDO, new to online gaming, and new to MMORP's, but did alot of PnP D&D back in the day. I've been on DDO for 2 weeks now and have been lucky enough to have some folks help me thru some runs. I really do appreciate this, but these experienced players FLY thru these runs and it is all I can do to keep up, and often someone has to give me a hand if the directions start twisting and turning, thru water, and secret doors, etc.. When we were slogging out adventures back in the day, carrying all of our books, dice, minis, we used to dream of going thru a 'Dungeon' on the computer and how awesome it would be. I understand that many experienced players have been thru most of the runs until they have them memorized and go thru them as fast as possible to generate the fastest XP they can, but I would sure love to take some time and go thru and appreciate the programming and the "Experience" more than I have been able to so far. I thought maybe a guild with alot of new members where we could get together and go thru the various runs and campaign chains would be a thought, or even the new members from alot of guilds -- it would benefit everyone, and the more exoerienced can pop in and give pointers and mentorship. If anyone has any thoughts, I would sure like to hear 'em. So far I have been VERY impressed with the responses I have received on the forums to my earlier posts and I have great expectations to this one as well. Thanks to all respondents in advance. Karl

Sounds to me like you are a prime candidate for an RP guild. It is easy to find groups in those that do not rush through the quests, if you state that as your intention. There are several on Thelanis, you have chosen your server well.
The main RP guilds on Thelanis are:
Fellowship of the Golden Night
Order of the Sword and Rose
Crimson Nexus
There are others but their names escape me at the moment.
Keep an eye out for these guilds and ask around, I am an officer in the Crimson Nexus, but don't have much time to play now as I am in the process of moving.
Good luck and have fun!
