I've just returned to playing after a couple years off, I'm now enjoying playing my monk, which is now level 7.

What and where is the stone of change? Also, is robes/outfits pretty much the only way to equip a monk as far as armour? What preferences for these do monks who have been playing find worthwhile. I've used the ICE/FIRE/ACID etc robes that damage any creature who strikes me, I thought that was useful, but then I put on a Fearsome Robe that I've been waiting to earn, and find that quite useful.

I've given up on using finishing move, as I've yet to see it do anything.

Is there no way to have Kii like SP available...been plunking points into concentration, but it seems like my points more often then not are empty. A party member is blinded..hold on, I'll meditate, generate some Kii, then take care of that.

Thanks,

this is opinion:
yep, its robes, outfits or neked. i prefer fearsome robes or greater false life robes or some mixture of the two....or or if youre lucky to come across a moderate fort robe of x.
Finishing moves....never really bothered with the cure blindess but use the mass healing and mass buff( walkin on the sun) moves as often as i can.
KI, use fire stance if you can, zerg kill stuff zerg kill stuff, you'll find youve more ki than one can use. If you dont have fire stance, you can still use the above formula but ki will accumulate slower. Ive only found my munkzies to be effective if they kill kill kill to generate ki then you can give back to your party with heals and the buffsesss.

"What and where is the stone of change?"

Its the device that combines ingredients into enhancements for items. Simple ones are +1 to ac, +1 to saves, etc.

Google: "ddo stone recipe"

Located outside the marketplace bank, right side. The other is next to The Twelve's main compound.

I found when levelling my monk that it wasn't until the higher levels when the hitpoints of the mobs start getting up, that I was running out of Ki a lot. If you're planning on going pure monk then the serenity capstone will pretty much mean you're doubling your ki as well (I think someone else did the math) so I wouldn't worry about Ki.

Re: the stones of change - I would wait until you get higher level until applying any of the rituals - the ingredients can be quite rare so you might want to save up before using them :)

Thanks for your help! I found the stone of Change, the google link was helpful, so now I have more of an idea about what it was for.

Also the answers I recieved sort of clairified some possibilities. Although, now, I still don't quite understand the means to succesfuuly use finishing move. It says it may change during gameplay (something like that anyhow), is this a programmable function?

What is the Serenity Capstone?

Oh, here is a really dumb question. I know hear the term "Zerg" alot? what does this mean, berserk or something...

There's more information on the stone of change recipes here (http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pxQYsN4CFHjhKC6jhAOGsWg&gid=4).

Each Ki move is tied to an element, once you have used 3 ki strikes in a row in a certain pattern of elements then the finishing move icon flashes up and you can push that to do a finishing move. The list of finishing moves can be found here (http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/Class:Monk#Finishing_Moves:).

What is the Serenity Capstone?

All pure class (i.e. you level up in the same class each time rather than going multi class and picking another) characters get a set of special enhancements at level 20 called a 'capstone'. The devs have currently announced one Capstone for each class and the monk one is called 'Serenity'. You can find more details about it here (https://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=165097).

Zerg (in DDO terms) means run through a quest very fast, typically avoiding optional part of a quest, and often running past monsters to achieve quest completion.
