What the mass transfer to Orien showed was the willingness of players to play in laggy environment, but full of players to choose from across level ranges. We were also not shy to spend 100s of dollars to buy ship and ship buffs. This is precisely why we have been asking for Megaserver since 2017 and Severlin has ignored it all along. Considering SSG does not have the capability to develop cross-server LFMs, Marketplace and Auction house, we should have had a Megaserver by now.
There are high tech cloud providers who can make a Megaserver for DDO in couple of weeks, if SSG has the political will to do that.

1) see a trend already?
2) see if it is connected to a movie premier?
3) see that it will surpass a server that is double the size?

Sir, we're not doing cancer research or flying to Mars, this is a DDO.

Snapshots work for the game due to the low population pool we're dealing with. If the pop was in the millions then yes. Also this isn't a trend yet, but a prediction. The movie was fantastic and there will be nostalgia ridden former players at the least logging back on. A small percentage will stay.

That was my first thought, too but this is exactly the same MO as the other threads. So sadly this doesn't seem to be a joke. But the date would save him at least for today.
