Profane experiment set?

Is there some particular reason this set only has light armor and robe? No docent, medium armor or heavy armor?

Makes my warforged and my artificers sad

My guess is because they intended Dreadkeeper as the EK/PM set and Profane as the Arti set...though that still doesnt explain why no docent

It is not an arti set, but alchemist. Lynnabel even said so at the time.

The Profane Experiment items came out in Update 43 which was released on September 10, 2019.

The Alchemist class was released in Update 45 which was released 5 months later on February 12, 2020.

Lynnabel even said so at the time.

Yeah it wouldnt be unlike the devs to pre-publish gear for an upcoming new class...but probably just the patch before, not 2 patches ahead...and Alchs dont have trapping, while Profane Experiment goggles boost your DD and OL

It was on a QnA livestream for update 43, where Lynnabel said that there was a set in Sharn docks for a new class.

All livestreams older than 2 years seem to have been deleted, I just checked.

Still around, if you see them as +Developer in the Anniversary Party event, they are still around. Lynnabel is +Lichbel on the 2nd floor of the building along with +Flimsyfirewood in the 2nd floor bathroom.

The gone devs are under the kobold hole with the skeletons as undead where your character pick up the key to open the gates to Jeets if your character wait for 5 seconds.
Example there would be +Eladrin, +MajorMalfuncton, etc.

I always just considered it a gish set. Not every set is specifically aimed at an exact class, a few sets are, but a lot of sets are built for purpose rather than for class.

A lot of sets are missing docents. Though it kind of stands to reason, that whole quest chain was about warforged being treated as second-class citizens.
