Why did DD lose mass cure mod SLA and Neg energy burst ?

Kinda borked my neg energy cleric.

I thought it might be moved to DA but no.

no idea other than to differentiate from pale masters? It's a shame since from a functional pov, neg energy burst was going to be a huge boon (since there is no aura) instead we're stuck with targeting issues a bit like dark hunter...but at least they get a higher lvl heal - and aoe - compared to base ranger.
I think it was a dumb idea to remove it and one of the main reasons I'm shying away from playing one despite having a death cleric in my stable - it would have been perfect!! :'(
