Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
- Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
- Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
- Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
- Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
- Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

Counterpoint...do we actually NEED more gear tiers between 21 and 29? Especially since the SSS revamp added a whole suite of relevant ML20 gear, a good L21 gear set is more than adequate to comfortably level from 21-29 at competitive difficulties. Adding in more advanced gear mid-Epic would be pure power creep. And inventory management is already enough of a nightmare - being able to have one-and-done gear sets for ETRing (and two-and-done for ITRing) is a godsend and not something I want to see messed up.
But if you dont want it, then just dont use it...why not add it in for people who do want it still?
Well for one, the problem with power creep is they eventually start balancing content around the creep (or doing things to negate the creep like stat squishes, which are equally unpopular). I'd rather not exacerbate an arms race with mid-Epic mobs
For two, its time they could be spending developing new gear and content at levels that actually need it
Caught in the Web gear (level 23) can be pretty nice, though the raid is annoying and so is the flagging.
Casuals like myself have little choice but to use long outlevelled gear as the farming grind - well, you just dont have time.
I often have lvl 20 toons with gear thats still lvl 5. I'm usually still using my lvl 10 Barovian weapon at lvl 28.
Very very very rarely there's non-named gear in a chest thats an upgrade but I would say 99% of the time its left in the chest. I just take gold, gems and guild xp items.
That’s great if you want to only use one set of gear from 20 to 29
You can do the same from 1-20 if you like as well
Gear has never been absolutely necessary to advance in DDO like it is in other games no need to exaggerate
It would be healthy for the game to have some gear options mid epic balanced between lvl 20 stuff & legendary
Problem is, the game is already way too easy from 21-29. If you put in even better gear than the sharn sets it's just gonna break. The jump from 29 to 30 is huge. I would rather have a more smooth difficulty curve.
