R10 at cap, and in heroics are both filling so fast. Feels amazing. Multiple r10 groups I posted today filled in less than a minutes. Raids take a few minutes to fill. Come and join us! Way less lag than Ghallanda and Orien's population is even higher.

I’ve seen more GLand faces that I remember on Orien than on Gland now.

I have a whopping TWO days of data to back up my claim, so keep this in perspective, but lag 'seemed' worse on Ghallanda (my old server) than Orien (my new server). One thing I do know - bank lag on Ghallanda was AWFUL today. It's been miserable for a while but... GAH! It's been painful consolidating the last few characters for the bus ride over.

We're gonna talk about the process of moving and the decision we made as The Circle of Night to move (even though most did not want to at first) on https://twitch.tv/daeriius Sunday night @ 7:30pm EST. Please drop by (although I hear there's some kinda game going on?) - especially if you are NOT leaving Ghallanda (or another lower population server) so you can share your stories as well.

Since DDO is so flexible with group member counts and classes/specs it is actually the *IDEAL* MMO for grouping.

It doesn't matter if your quest group has 2 players or 6, 6 fighters or 6 clerics.. only raids need full group and more balanced classes/specs.

Just the server system is very suboptimal. Dear devs please make proper server merges :-)

I haven't pugged a whole lot on Orien yet (old habits are hard to break) but so far my experiences are positive. It blows my mind to see 500-600 people online at the same time. A guildie logged on at 7:30AM ET and there were 12 LFMs up even then.

No regrets at all so far. I hope more people join us.

Orien is amazing right now. You can get a raid virtually any time you log on. A dynamic LFM panel and tons of great, new people to game with. This vibrant, living population where you see large groups of people in the harbor and multiple market instances brings life to DDO. Join us and experience it for yourself!

I’m glad Glanders are happy but the rest of us like our servers. I don’t see as many high reaper lfms like on my server. I’m not moving until SSG gives a proper merger with everything included.

You mean the real G-Landers, or the ex-G-Landers? They're not the same. I, too, am not moving until SSG gives a proper merger with everything included.

As for how great the OP wants to say Orien is versus G-Land, well I completed 16 PUG Legendary raids on Saturday on G-Land (plus another each of Friday night and Sunday morning), and also 2 long chains of high-skull Reaper Legendary quests today. So the ex-G-Landers can brag about how great Orien is, but things are fine on G-Land without them. Good riddance.

i'm considering moving...how hard is it to find a good guild, i'm the only active player left in my guild, but the ship is well equipped, so i'd hate to start that over....but I'm happy to pug, so don't need a guild that always plays together...but that could be fun too.

Ghalandians brought something evil with them! An evil entity roams the lands that were once peacefull. The lag beast followed these players to my server, MY home... I have seen the lag beast in its full glory, even stronger than ever. We needed to lower the skulls by 2 compared to what I am used to. My will saves are not enough for those DC 2000ms stuns the beast occassionaly casts.

That's horrible. I have been running in the dreaded I2049 instance on G for the last few days and no lag. I wonder if there is a thing like sploits for crits?

Are you on discord by any chance? We set up a @recruiter role on the Orien Discord. Just ping the role, write something about your wishes/expectations and someone will get back to you. Right now about a dozen guilds are actively taking on new players. I think we can cover most wishes concerning guilds: big, small, family, TR, raid, endgame, solo, with schedule, spontaneous, with pants, without pants, whatever floats your boat.

There are tons of great guilds in Orien that will gladly welcome you. The hardest part won't be finding a great one, but choosing which great one you want. If you like an active guild that talks to each other we have lots of those, and if you just want a max level guild with ship buffs that never expects you to do anything (no mandatory raiding or expectations that you will talk in guild chat or group with guildies) there are massive guilds like that too (e.g. Legends of Orien).
