    first a movie, now a series. what if it is the beginning of more d&d franchise? if a wider project takes off now this would mean more investments in this game i guess.

    like the amazon series did with lotro, or so they said.

    If the movie is successful and if WotC takes back all their OGL nonsense, then *maybe* there will be a TV show.

    I wouldn't bet on it just yet.
