I can't tell you how many times I've seen people drinking mead at various Renaissance Faires around the country because they think it's "cool" somehow to drink mead.

Almost to a person, I can tell by their reaction when they drink it, it's the first time they've ever had it. The look on their faces of sheer distaste for fermented honey is unmistakable. Some, like the little girl below, will smile and insist on maintaining the charade of actually liking it.

If you tell me you like mead, you are either not being honest with yourself, or COVID has taken your sense of taste permanently.

if the only mead you've drank is from a Renaissance faire, you've only had the cheap kind and its sort of sour or sometimes tart.
