    Default Festivult cookies

I've been having a look through the cookies to see what changes there have been this year, this is what I've found: (compared with info on ddowiki)

Black abbot: spawn screen CL15 - previously stoneskin
Green abishai: protection from elements CL8 - previously neutralise poison
Queen Lailat: slow CL15 - previously burning blood
Succubus: charm monster CL10 - previously mass charm monster
Daanvi: silence creature CL10 - previously summon defender of law
Kythri: colour spray CL10 - previously chaos hammer
Lammania: tenacious pack CL12 - previously lesser vigor
Shavarath: armour of speed CL10 - previously aid

no spaces have been added to the cookie jars for new ones - in previous years existing jars were updated to add the storage space for additional types & it's still showing 41 slots, though incidentally the store description still says they have 30 slots. I'm assuming this is an oversight & am hoping that there'll be some more new cookies added this year that we'll see once we start turning coins in next week - if there are, it'd make sense to have them be a handful of the new alchemist spells to act as a little advance preview before we see the class properly.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

Festivult had some of the best cookies around and now SSG has given us the finger

Spawn Screen as opposed to Stoneskin? When is spawn screen going to come in handy?

armour of speed isn't too shabby, colour spray & protection from elements are pretty good for lowbies, but yeah the rest have had quite a cut down in their utility

I'd like to see more cookies with a bunch of high level abilities & spells, with the trade-off being lower caster level, not benefitting from spellpower & having them significantly rarer, so when running those reincarnations (or just for newer players who might not have seen those abilities in play before), you can have the option of breaking out something big - eg. the arretrikos cookies used to cast meteor swarm & when I started the game, ok they still werent necessarily capable of wiping out a group, it was awesome being able to just deliver a massive visual kaboom.

As it is, some rambling thoughts about some of the good existing cookies & some ideas for new ones:

Fernia - wall of fire - great lowbie tool, particularly in places like the catacombs chain
Stormreaver - call lightning - another great lowbie to mid levels one to boost your damage as you fight, particularly if you're more focussed towards single target attacks, you can weaken the others to make life easier when you get to them.
Syrania - jump & featherfall - great mobility tool, love it
Dolurhh - death ward - who doesn't like having DW as a consumable? also available through potions elsewhere as well as a clicky so less of a "NOOOO!" if it changes, but it's still great to have as an option at all levels.
Spiderweb - rejuvenation cocoon - ok, this is IMO one of the very best of the lot for low to mid levels, not just for the heal over time which is really nice but the 150 temp HP are great when you need to run though a big trap & even better if you have access to blood sacrifice since they stack.
Suulomades - teleport - fantastic convenience item if you don't have access to a guild airship, still really nice for wizards who want early access to the portable hole to fill their spellbooks, or other casters who want to stock up on scrolls.
Toven d'Cannith - radiant forcefield & positive energy infusion - excellent all the way to cap for a quick durability boost
Warforged titan - titan's grip (psionic +6 STR bonus) - not super powerful in the grand scheme of things with stat inflation over the years, but excellent if you need to bump up your STR to pull a lever since it stacks with almost everything.
Kobold - greater vigor - for challenge runners, yeah it's nowhere near as good as it used to be, but it's a decently powerful heal over time for low to mid levels & doesn't share a cooldown with other healing potions
lord of blades - blade barrier - awesome at low levels, fire up before opening the door to that room full of enemies
Mabar - death aura - makes it much easier for pale masters to self heal at level 6 & below, particularly good if you're going for the undead eldritch knight approach.
Xoriat - otto's glitterball - low to mid level crowd control.. similar to lord of blades one, use it before opening a door & it'll make your life far easier.
Shadow - shadow form - another of the ones that's really powerful right to cap.

Looking at those.. yeah most of them are mainly good for low to mid levels, with a few exceptions but that's fine, it's nice to have a few fun tricks you can pull out in a pinch to deal with tricky situations. In that vein, a few which i'd like:

Stalwart pact - the benefits the spell gives are barely worth it by the time you can cast the spell, but for a lowbie it could make a useful safety net & it's low power level means it could be a pretty common one without being unbalancing.
death pact - a more powerful safety net, with the trade-off that you're debuffed while it's active & have to rest before you can use it again, make it relatively rare so it's one of those things that people have to have a bit of a dilemma when using it.
implosion - cast from a cookie it'd only really be useful at lower levels, but hey it'd just be fun to be able to implode some kobolds in the waterworks, right?
gust of wind - the idea of it just tickles me, because that part of me will never grow up
Reactive Heal - another of those safety net ones... make it relatively rare & hey, do you eat it just in case or do you feel lucky & hold off on it, keeping it for another potential risky situation?
divine intervention - a very powerful safety net, but with even more of a "will i need it or not?" factor thanks to it having an actual duration instead of "it'll stay there until i need it, rest or exit the quest". Make this very rare though & it's one of those that'll be useful all the way from 1 to 30.
Ascendance - some really nice benefits at any level, and has the "oooo pretty/awesome!" factor - make this a very rare one
divine wrath - simultaneous healing the party & hurting enemies... set it to CL5 or so & combined with not benefitting from the character's spellpower it wouldn't be excessively powerful (at that caster level, the arty admixture with max & empower is likely more powerful) but it'd just look awesome.
avatar of nature - make it very rare & let people occasionally have the fun of a "TIME TO SMASH!" moment
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.
