Aasimar viable as a DEX based Acrobat?

Aasimar viable as a DEX based Acrobat? compared to a Halfling DEX based. can anyone explain the pros and cons? I know its a loss of DEX between the two but does it matter much over an Acrobat?

How many racial AP you got?

You only lose 2-4 Dex, but that's not nothing.

You gain some Heal Amp though, and the Healing Hands are very nice. But so are the halfling dragonmarks if you have points to spend in racial anyway (but you also have to spend a feat).

I don't think Aasimar offers much here compared to a Halfling.

But races don't usually make or break a build, so you can certainly try it.

Could you go wisdom-based monk/rogue Acrobat instead?

I play a Aasimar Dex based assassin as my main and love it.

Kind of depends on the level of content you play, race by itself shouldn't make a huge difference regardless.

If you have good racial points halfling and aasimar are both decent, but keep in mind on a dex rogue you may not have enough wis to make the most out of the aasimar tree.

Halfling
- Better dex
- Better dodge

Aasimar
- Better HP if you can afford stance
- Better amp
- Less weight restrictions
- Better self-healing with some investment in wis

Also mentioned by Trudh you can try a wis based mnk/rog, but that one is a little of a toss-up depending on what you're looking for in the build.

I would preferentially take protector for a pure rogue due to lack of access to more HP and PRR. Of course fallen is good for DPS, but rogues generally pull off enough of that, and fear immunity is really just a GH scroll/clicky away, if you didn't already slot an aug for it. If you have a good party to keep you in one piece then I guess fallen is fine too.

... but I just don't like the purple splodge over the eyes :/
