Look for any sort of track or path. Often animal tracks will lead to water, if the water is a stream or river then follow it out. If lake, pond, or other... do the unthinkable and climb a tree. I have a dex penalty though so this would not be my first choice.

My greataxe works just fine on warforged (who are made of wood and metal) so it should work just fine on trees. I clear a way out.

I look for the eye icon so that I can see the wilderness objectives and click on the recall button.

There are at least 3 suggestions:

1. Yell the word "/stuck". If that doesn't teleport me out of the forest to the last wilderness entrance area. See #2.
2. Cast the spell "Dimension Door". That should get me to the entry point of the forest wilderness area. If that spell fizzles, try the spell "Teleport" and select Stormreach "Marketplace".
3. Well, if I were not a spell caster, I will tell my pet falcon to fly up in the air, find the path out and lead the way.

P.S. If I were a gnome or a skinny halfling, I would hop on the bird and fly out.
