Game keeps taking up resources until they max out the computer and it freezes.

The computer is an Alienware M17x r3, iirc. The computer loads up the client, and my friend plays for about an hour and a half, all the while the client is slowly beginning to max out processor and then disk. Once both hit 99% according to task master, she's got like two minutes at the outside before the whole kit and caboodle freezes up and it's time to hard boot the blasted machine.

I used to have a somewhat similar problem. I could only play for an hour then my memory would be maxed out. After I disconnected my gamepad (Xbox Controller) the game worked fine for me.
