A very nasty bug with quest xp NOT being rewarded....

I posted a ticket 3 weeks ago but i was brilliantly ignored by standiong stone games!
(this is sooooo reassuring that i'm gonna go and buy some stuff in the store right now!)

So my issue is, since 3 weeks, my character DOES NOT RECIEVE ANY XP FOR QUEST COMPLETION !

You'd think they would take a quick look at this.... But i didnt even got ANY FORM of answer from standing stone (not even a simple "we'll look into it").

I'm kind of lost and angry. I LOVE DDO, i'd LIKE TO PLAY, but it seems they dont ****ing give any **** about this....

And i tried again today before posting, just to be sure... the bug is still there, and my ticket still has 0 answer...

Plus, anyway, its only the QUEST REWARDS which are broken...
I still recieve some XP from monster manual and such (daily dice jewels...)

?!? Have you ever seen that? And i mean it's game-breaking in this kind of game (since quest rewards is 90% of xp gain...).

Reset enhancements and re-train. Cycle through epic destiny exp and heroic on your exp bar.

Frankly this sounds EXACTLY like a level cap issue.

Yeah, that definitely sounds like xp level cap. Daily Dice do not respect the caps and can be used to push you beyond the threshold. But quest xp will still be ignored.

I thought cap stops you at 1xp of the end of the last rank?

Yes you can go over with jewels, which does not cause the quest xp to start being rewarded again. I'd assume monster manuals may not respect cap either, but I haven't verified it. I do know daily dice will.

Yes, you can.

Daily Dice and the Monster Manual ignore the cap.

I was a dumb idiot... i was level 12 and rank 66, so actually one rank "into" level 14.

Since i saw my rank wasnt a multiple of 5 i assumed... wrongly... that i couldn't be capped.
My mistake, "bigly" ...

So, i apologize to standing stone (even tho, no answer on a ticket for 3 weeks is still bad imho).

And to xCataluna for my ridiculous answer starting with "i know quite well how xp cap work" ... lol
"ridiculness doesnt kill" - hopefully since im still there (french saying translation)

Forget that post, all is fine, im just an idiot.

I do wonder what is a GM's policy when it comes to derp moment like this. Cause I too had an open ticket that remained unanswered because it was a derp on my part.

A friend's character always Auto-declined my party invites and he claimed he didn't see the invitation. I found it odd cause he can invite me just fine. He also couldn't receive my tells. I switched characters and they were all fine. So I wrote a ticket and waited a few days before realizing I was on the receiving end of a squelch. My friend wanted to test the squelch command and forgot to turn it off.

Feels like GM's don't wanna risk striking a nerve to explain the obvious so they don't bother. Or it's one of the lower priority and often gets forgotten about. Either way, feels like moments like this is best resolved here.

Banking levels does this to you. I have been in the exact same situation myself, seeing that XP was not the usual xxx,999 towards a cap.

Fortunately I realised what was happening after only a couple of quests

I keep a close eye on my exp when banking so I don't run a quest and waste most of the exp. So I know when I'm going to hit cap. I have seen my friend have this same problem though.

Lol, I feel bad for you, I keep the xp page from the wiki open on my laptop so I can refer to it while I play, so I know how much exp per rank, what the total means and what rank I can be at, and I still occasionally run a quest or two for no xp.
