Dragonborn Project
The Dragonborn series has entered its final chapter. Each life I did something different. Life 1 was my regular druid build, life 2 was a cold sorchanter and life 3 is a spell singer bard! While I am certainly no one to take bard advice from, I do enjoy playing a spell singer. In fact I have a capped one that I play as a healer in raids, but I rarely play him these days because my focus is on Gingerspyce and Voodu. Over the years I've had many requests to do a bard series and now was the perfect time. Thank you for all the requests!
Episode 22 - level 3 R1 Swiped Signet
In episode 22 I introduce the bard that I'm doing for life 3 and how I plan to charm and scream my way through this portion of the series. The Swiped Signet can be a tough quest for an unsuspecting newbie. If you've been playing DDO for a while, I'm sure you remember getting caught up in all the sleet storms and traps in this one. At about 9k xp, this one is pretty good for a level 3 quest, so I've been including it in my 1-20 racial routine.
Episode 23 - level 5 R2 Ghost of a Chance
Three Barrel Cove was given a makeover a few years back and now it is some of the best xp in the game for its level range. For most of these quests, I traditionally skipped them in heroics, choosing to save the bravery bonus for epic levels, since there was so much heroic xp available, these weren't necessary to do in heroics. Now that I am focusing on racial lives, 3BC is a staple at levels 5-7! The heroic quests play a little differently than the epic versions and in this episode, my relative inexperience with the heroic version of the quest shows
Episode 24 - level 7 R2 Old Grey Garl (Garl's Tomb pt. 2)
In episode 2 I did The Troglodyte's Get (Garl's Tomb pt. 1), so I thought I'd do part 2 to emphasize the great xp that is available in heroic 3BC and because I've never done a video of this one before. Once again, my inexperience with heroic 3BC comes through here, lol.
Teaching raids
Our teaching raid series for new players is still ongoing! We have several weeks left before we shut things down for the year. There's still time to get involved if you're on Sarlona and looking to learn raids better. This Saturday is a heroic and legendary Hound of Xoriat teaching raid. See Sarlona forum post for details!
We've been live streaming our teaching raids this year, which has been really cool to have folks from other servers able to follow along and learn along with us without having to be on Sarlona. Here are some of the recent live streams...
Master Artificer and Lord of Blades teaching raids live stream 6/3/17
Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm teaching raid live stream 5/27/17
Heroic Abbot (Accursed Ascension) teaching raid live stream 5/20/17
Friday Night Raidfest
And finally I want to invite everyone on Sarlona to take part in our new Friday Night Raidfest public raid event. Each week we will do Mark of Death, Defiler of the Just and Riding the Storm Out and all are welcome to join the fun. These events aren't as formal as our teaching raids, but we are happy to have first timers and raid newbies. See Sarlona forum post for details!
Thank you for all the support and great comments! I am looking forward to sharing many more bard videos with you in the next few weeks!
Much love,
Gingerspyce of Sarlona
