option to remove champs from heroic hard&elite

Now that we have reapers, can we have a check box on the quest panels to disable champions for the hard and elite difficulty?
It's not about difficulty (so stop whining about playing normal), it breaks immersion and some of us want to play the game was intended instead this remake for a vocal 5%

I find your options in your poll amusing.

Current hard and elite are good and none of my toons are triple completionist. If anything Elite should be tougher, but then we have Reaper now so maybe not.

again, missing the point, it's not about the difficulty, i want the game to return to ddo instead of the diablo 1/2/3 formula.
all i'm asking for is a checkbox to turn it off, make it solo only if needed, i hate looking at those stupid crowns, it takes me out of the experience.
It breaks the rpg immersion and makes it too much of a video game

This is a terrible idea and I'm glad Cordo gave it the response it deserved.

If your issue is really that you don't like the crowns asking for a checkbox labeled "hide champion crowns" in the options panel would be much more reasonable.

You are asking for a pretty big mechanics change just to keep your (that is you, single person) rpg immersion.

Maybe you should ask for a checkbox that makes the crowns invisible so you don't know which mobs are champions... I actually like that idea... Even more challenging, and no immersion loss for you.

Though this would help immensely to get rid of the video game elements that take away from the D&D/rpg immersion, there is also the issue of trying to bring in new players and get them up and running.

Why should the people who enjoy them have a harder time on Hard and Elite getting XP then you do, just because you find a graphic to be lore-breaking? Yes they enjoy the challenge, but it seems broken and selfish that you'd get to skate by without the extra layer of challenge just because you don't want to look at a crown.

No to the check-box, and no to removing them from Elite and Hard.
If a check-box has to be added, I like Thrudh's idea of it just hiding the crown. If the crown is more of the issue then the challenge - that should suffice, yes?

That was before you added Reaper and even then I for one vehemently disagree that Heroic Elite was "too easy"!

With Reaper in game there's 10 levels ABOVE Elite!

Get Champions out of Hard and Elite {Epic as well as Heroic!}.
