Does 'Potency' and 'Combustion' stack ?

I need a clarification about this simple thing never understood complitely:
(example)
i have on left hand a club that gives Potency +60 and in the right hand another club that has Combustion +78

does they stack togheter and gives me more power for fire spells ?

Unfortunately not, it's a case of specialist gear vs generalist gear. Potency helps fill in missing holes if you can't slot all the spellpowers you want to, but is significantly lower than it's level-equivalent gear for a certain type of spellpower. Same goes for Spell Lore vs. Fire Lore.

However, the Spellcasting Implement bonus to spellpower is separate from the equipment bonus, so if you have a +3 Potency (40) Scepter and a +2 Combustion (52) Scepter than for fire spellpower you would have the 52 from combustion and the 9 (3 times the enchantment bonus, in this case 3 x3 from the potency item) implement bonus, totaling 61 fire spellpower. The other elements would all have 40 (from potency) and 9 (from the +3 on potency item, does not stack with the +2 from combustion as they are typed the same), giving them all 49.
