Default Is acrobat any good without improved crit profile staffs?

I really want to TR into an acrobat(mainly because they are cool as ****) but I don't have any staff with improved crit profile and I am not likely to get my hands on one anytime soon(im f2p with only the gianthold pack and i dont have nearly enough money to buy a good dstaff from the AH) so my question is are acrobats are any good when using 20x2 staffs?

Have done 13 acre lives, and no it does not matter. In epics you get one from comm turn ins. The 15 percent speed bonus is a really big deal, but that is about it. The tier 5 ability is nice though.

Lunality, Sorcality, Tunality, Axation, Causation, Shurality, Desparality, Stingality and a few more...

Agree that it doesn't matter, but the comm turn ins = MotU and/or High Road/Druid's Deep/maybe a couple other packs I'm not thinking of atm, not f2p

There's 17 staves with better-than-normal crit specs. Unfortunately, most of the good ones are BtCoA or drop from P2P content you don't have (yet). Luminous Truth is not bad, though - Incandescence, Flaming Burst, 19-20/x2 crit profile - and drops from a F2P quest (Spinner of Shadows). Stout Oak is good too and relatively easy to acquire; though like Tom116 said, you need Estar Comms which only drop from P2P quests, IIRC.

But even if you're stuck using crafted or lootgen staves, on a pure Acrobat you'll still have +20% atk speed, 17-20/x3 crit profile (w/Staff Spec + IC:Blunt), +41% avg doublestrike (+20% Cartwheel Charge, +25% Quick Strike every 10 out of 12 secs), and lots of sneak atks. Add in Cleaves, glancing blows, etc. and you should have plenty of DPS.

The issue with Acrobats isn't DPS, it's staying alive.

Alright, I will try to get my hands on Luminous Truth.

Do you think its worth opening a acrobat or is the lack of survivabily too big and ill just end up dying all the time?

That depends: how good are you at keeping squishy chars with no self-healing alive? For some folks, the added challenge of soloing a rogue is a feature, not a bug.
