Dungeons and Dragons Online was my very first MMO; I am a middle aged male, Ok I am 45.
The Only Video games I played up until this were ..Pong , Atari, Nintendo, Saga, and lastly for me Sony Play Station. So I really have had no real MMO experience to gauge DDO by.
Now I do. I was very excited to hear Neverwinter Online was being produced.( This is not meant to be a thread about.. blah blah ..) I prefer DDO any day of the week and twice on Sunday compared to Never winter.
However.. When I am in the Desert or Gianthold or any explorer for that matter, ddo just looks like dog ****; Now Dog **** is probably harsh.
I mean no disrespect to any one personally.
So what causes those sharp terrain lines?
Can they go back and smooth things out?
make the terrain look a little more natural. I know it can be done , because I have seen it now in a other game.
Please remember this is not a tread about which is a better game.. Only that the graphics now really look bad now that I have seen other games lately.
Before my rig gets brought up, I am playing on a Alienware Aurora, the specifics are not that important. I have a newer generation video card that is a couple years old. I play on Detect Optimal settings and it takes me to Very High, That is good enough for me.
