Hey everyone. Just wanted to pop in to update everyone on the state of YourDDO. I have not yet found a solid individual(s) to assume responsibility for my project. I regret to inform the community that YourDDO in it's current state will be brought offline on October 2, 2014.

If there is anyone here that has a php/mysql hosting page that would like to continue hosting the Server Status widget, let me know and I will port that over to you.

It pains me to have to bring the site down, but I just have zero time for anything. Full time in school, new baby is going to be here in about a month, and working long days. So, as you see I'm a busy guy.

The only thing wrong with YourDDO is that the API was turned off. Turbine may someday fix and/or replace the API and everything will be good again. There are other pages and tools on there as well.

Thank you Silas for the hard work you put in VOLUNTARILY. MOST of us are very appreciative of all that you have provided to the DDO community. It was unfortunate that Turbine took away the tools to help keep yourddo what it was.

Yourddo was a much better application than Myddo ever hoped to be.

They discontinued the API that fed game data to this and other websites. It was a way to get information about your characters and guilds from the web without having to log into the game.

I don't remember ever seeing them state why, but I'm sure it was an issue with support. Either they didn't have the personnel to support it, or the proper hardware. Maybe it was a cost cutting measure. I don't know. I'm sure they had a good reason, but it was never communicated to us.

Silas, first off, THANK YOU for all the hard work you put into YourDDO. I've used the site frequently, and I'm sad to see it go.

I don't have the coding expertise to take it over (believe me, when I saw a while back that you were looking for someone to do that, I wanted to), but I think the OurDDO site should be up to hosting the server status widget if you'd like.
