High Lords will host Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm teaching raids

Next in our teaching raid series will be another double feature in Thunderholme: Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm on Saturday, May 10 at 8:00pm EST!

As with all events in this series, these raids are for players newer to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the Sarlona community.

If you are new to FTP and TOTD, you will need to flag by slaying two red named bosses in The Ruins of Thunderholme wilderness area. You will need to have access to the Shadow Under Thunderholme adventure pack. Slaying Dagan The Death Knight will flag you for FTP and slaying Sarva Ballistrae The Cult of the Dragon Emissary will flag you for TOTD.

Dagan and Sarva are not ordinary slayer zone bosses. They can be very tough and I recommend equipping a spell absorption item like an upgraded Pale Lavendar Ioun Stone or Scarab of Spell Absorption for the fight. You can find a map with pathways to these bosses at the above Ruins of Thunderholme link. You will find the entrance to the ruins through The Thunder Peaks public zone, which is accessible across the bridge in northeast Eveningstar. Before heading into the slayer zone, talk to the 2 NPC quest givers in Thunder Peaks, then talk to them again after defeating the bosses and they will grant you the raids.

Usually all spaces are spoken for by the time of the raid, so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce.

I'd like to go on TOrtoisse, there are still puzzles in shadow dragon I don't know and I only ran fire peak once and it was kinda insane.

I'll tell ya what I want what I really really want! I wanna come for the shadow dragon raid lol. I have did it a couple times but still no idea whats going on till the end fight... I'd prob bring Favoredgear.

Which raids are left to teach? Shroud, Titan, and Tempest Spine? I think you need to do Titan next. In my opinion, this has the best "raid" feel to it as the anticipation slowly builds up to the raid itself while doing some (initially) challenging puzzles in the pre-raid quest. If they could do a revamp on the loot...

I will be avoiding the gravity puzzle at all costs on Saturday, lol. For those unfamiliar with the raid, there are many puzzles, but we'll have somewhat of a choice of which ones we do. Gravity will not be one that we do. Let me know if you still want to join us

After this week the only raids that we haven't done as teaching raids will be Titan and TS. I am not planning an event for either of those raids. I don't know Titan well enough to teach it, as I've only ran it 3 times. We've tried several times to get guild titan raids going but there's never been enough interest in the raid. Which is fine by me because I don't like it and non of my builds need the loots

Both raids can be flagged for in the slayer. Seems to go smoother with a small party for the Deathwyrm flagging part. You really notice scaling in the Thunderholm slayer. This is a bad week for me, but if I'm on I can help flag.
