How does 10k actually work? (Just a few facts please.)

There has been a lot of talk (and plenty of drama) about 10k lately. Could someone explain how it actually works in game.

From wiki:

Activate this ability to enter a trance for 30 seconds (or until you become uncentered) that gives you a chance to throw multiple shuriken at a time. Wisdom increases your chance for additional projectiles and increases the potential number of additional projectiles.

This ability will work with bows if you have the Zen Archery feat.

Activating this ability reduces your Doubleshot by -100% for 45 seconds.

Manyshot and Ten Thousand Stars share cooldowns.

I have some questions about 10k stars.

Are you actually throwing shuriken and doing shuriken damage?

Does zen archery allow you to throw shuriken while holding a bow (i.e. a weapon that would normally uncenter you)?

If manyshot and 10k share a cooldown, how are people stacking them?

u cant throw shuriken while holding a bow becoz bow is 2 handed,

they can only not be used at the same time, but activating 10k stars gives only a 30 sec cooldown to Manyshot, meaning you can do Manyshot right after. Manyshot gives a 30 sec cooldown to 10k stars, meaning you can do 10k stars 10 seconds after Manyshot.

Is this WAI? I don't know if Turbine didn't do the description right, or they did mean it to share a 1 minute cooldown for 10kstars and a 2 minute cooldown for Manyshot, which would make them really bad. If so, then they may nerf/fix it. For now, they do complement each other as you can do 1:20 minutes out of 2:00 minutes of 10kstars/Manyshot use.

bow damage. and it shoots arrows.

As far as 10k stars sharing a cooldown with manyshot, they just dont want someone using 10k stars to shoot 3x arrows at the same time as using manyshot to shoot 4x because that would be 12 arrows at once.

To make use of 10k stars you want to max wisdom and only take enough dex to qualify for improved precise shot, since wisdom will be used for to-hit and also determines how many extra arrows you shoot while 10k stars is active.

Actually that depends on what weapon you are using in your main hand. The ability itself does not do any damage but only enables you to do multiple attacks with the weapon you use. Where normally you would only get one attack per attack animation you then get multiple attacks per animation for the time it lasts.
